El Mexicana

I wish they had a zero star option. Will never order from this place again. Placed an order through Deliveroo and half of the order did not arrive. By half of the order, I mean 3 items. When I phoned the restaurant to find out what happened, the guy on the phone said he had no idea what to do because everyone there is new. How could you possibly leave your restaurant to be in control of a bunch of newbies? He didn’t know who to call, how to go about sending the delivery out, or what he was even saying. He would say the order has been made and is out for delivery, then that he couldn’t get ahold of the deliveroo driver, then that they’d replaced my order with the large options to compensate for their mess up, then that he didn’t know what to do AGAIN.I contacted deliveroo and they said they would try phone him, and they were met with the same response - he didn’t know what to do because everyone is new. I’ve now been compensated for the items that were not delivered, but I was completely stuffed around. The items were not delivered because deliveroo “don’t deliver sides”. Solution? Ask if we would order a main or offer to add a main meal so that the order can be delivered.How is it even possible that the staff didn’t know what was in the meal box I ordered? It’s not exactly difficult. It has it all on the menu, it’s just a matter of CHECKING THE ORDER BEFORE IT GOES OUT FOR DELIVERY. It doesn’t exactly take a room of geniuses to figure that one out.On top of this, the burritos were both so bland. Terrible service. Don’t bother using them, rather go to BarBurrito.

Service is very very slow, staff in back for ages before being served but the food id's very tasty

The food quality is absolutely amazing. It's so fresh you can instantly see that this place definitely works at very high standards. I enjoyed my experience so much that it's a weekly treat now for me and my family.

Even after eating at so many different places you mostly just wanna go back to one place of yours you like the most!El Mexicana is the one for me when Im craving some Tacos Or some yummy Burritos!!They have an amazing variety of drinks and desserts & the best part is they serve alcohol too!!!!!

Great (and I highly emphasize on that!) food, fantastic service and a very nice, friendly place to eat. The guys are very welcoming and happy to see you, the food is crisp and fresh, and I daresay they do the best burritos I've ever had.Thank you, El Mexicana, I shall be visiting again!!

Good eatin'! Meat was full of flavour and cooked to perfection, and really affordable for such large portions. Staff were so friendly & polite, the atmosphere was great, but the food was even better.Thanks for the best lunch I've had in a while :)

I was on holiday in Yorkshire over the summer and came across this lovely little mexican burrito bar, the food is mouth watering. I had the summer salad deal. Prices are very economical. £5.99 for a regular Chargrilled Salad box topped with a freshly made salasa, sweet potato fries and a frozen margarita slush drink. What a bargain!!

Came into the mall for subway but the queue was out the door. Decided to try something different as there was no queue at this place. Mistake. Your staff member ELISANDRA was so rude to us we almost left, if the queue for subway wasn't so long we would have. She was rude and sullen. We asked for chips, no" she says. "Err why not?" I ask. "We don't have". No please. No thank you. She literally threw my food at me. This employee is ruining your business and I won't be eating here again."

Healthy fast food done well...the staff are friendly and attentive, going the extra mile. Good nutritious Mexican food that is freshly prepared. Beats the usual fast food joints found in a food court!The burritos are awesome and filling for a very affordable price.Would Highly recommend this place both for its exquisite food quality and general vibe.

Don't be put off by anyone who scores anything less than 4 stars out of 5 as they obviously aren't fit to leave an honest review. El Mexicana is just first class as far as fast food goes: it's just excellent quality, wholesome food, good value, and a loyalty scheme to boot. Shame there aren't more chains about, particularly up north
