Unacceptable Service and Incompetence at Halfords Garage - 128 Boden Street, GlasgowI have been a loyal customer of this garage for nearly a decade, back when it was still McConechys. However, since its acquisition by Halfords a few years ago, the quality of service has plummeted drastically, leaving me utterly disappointed and inconvenienced.My recent experience was the last straw. I scheduled my car's MOT 25 days in advance, only to be met with a series of frustrating setbacks. Initially, I was informed on the appointment day that the compressor was malfunctioning. Rescheduling was no less of a hassle — the next appointment was cancelled because the MOT specialist was unexpectedly on holiday. When I tried for the third time, I was told, yet again, about compressor issues, and this time, my MOT had already expired due to these repeated delays.The staff, whom I can only describe as utterly disorganized, suggested I book with another Halfords garage. Still, they admitted they couldn't assist with the booking since they had no visibility of other garages' schedules in their system. This level of service inefficiency is not just laughable but unacceptable for a brand like Halfords.This garage has devolved over the years into a place of sheer incompetence and lack of customer respect. I regret to say that the once-dependable establishment has turned into a complete joke. I cannot, in good faith, recommend this place to anyone valuing their time, money, and peace of mind. It's a hard pass for me from now on.

Had my car Serviced last year, fab service. Unfortunately despite being able to book online I called to double check and was advised they couldn't fit me in. I've had to book a service elsewhere however they are good and would just advise to call and double check your booking.

Went in this morning last minute to change a tyre, thanks to David who spotted I had a bulge on my other tyre aswell and after already changing over the first one they sorted me out and changed the other one too without having to order or book in again, job was done in under 30 mins.

Car in for MOT, couldn't have been more straightforward. Happened right on the appointed time and was carried out within an hour.Edit: this was a 5 star review based on my experience last year, but following today's experience, I'm changing it to 3 stars. Despite my 8am booking, the garage wasn't even opened until 8.10am, and my MOT wasn't completed until 10.30, meaning I missed 2.5 hours of work. When I arrived to collect my car, the member of staff was engaged on a personal call, which just continued while I stood there wondering what would happen next. I just generally got the impression that nobody really gave a toss what was happening... When I was paying, the guy gave me a leaflet with information about paying for Premium membership of the Halfords motoring club. But could I rely on them to deliver a Premium service? I doubt it, based on what I experienced today.

Had to take my Dads car down here as I thought the tracking was off. I'm nit very mechanical and it was actually just the balance that needed corrected. I had paid for tracking and got the refunded difference back into my account within 3 days. The technician was very professional and the car now runs lovely. They did a great job and I would definitely recommend this centre.

Had an issue with my girlfriends car whilst we were away on holiday, we turned up at this garage as it was the closest to us at the time. They looked at the car and sorted the issue within 10/15 minutes and didn't charge us anything either. Fantastic service

great customer service with Halfords, just want to mention The Manager John and all his staff very professional mechanic. i had a very bad experience with Kwik Fit... but when i came to John @ Halford Parkhead they resolve my car issue i am so happy with there service, great customer service!! well done guys.

One of best branch I ever visited, the team over there are marvellous and consider their customers by providing the information required regarding their motors issues.I have dealing with them for more than one occasion and find them honest and reliable.Mr John is very helpful and professional with quality of his done tasks.
