Wayne

Wayne has done a magnificent job completely decorating my house. I am delighted with the results. He is very knowledgeable and was able to answer all my questions about this old property and advise me from the start. As I have been away from the property while the work has been done he has liased with other tradespeople and really project managed all the work whilst keeping me updated along the way. In April 2022 we received a quote for works that we agreed upon. We met with Wayne who seemed nice and experienced. We waited over a month for the work to commence. Wayne sent another gentleman to do the work, which was fine, as we just wanted to get it sorted and had already been waiting. The guy was good but said that he would only be doing the painting and that Wayne would need to come and do the wallpapering the following week. On the 14/6 we received an invoice which we stupidly paid as we were promised that the work would be completed in the coming week. Nobody came and nobody contacted us. In fact, when we tried to contact Wayne we would receive one-word answers. Wayne NEVER contacted us, not once, to say he could/couldn't make it. It was only ever us sending messages/calls. We kept trying. July came round, more promises, more let downs and then whilst we were away Wayne came to sort out 'some' of the wallpapering. After asking him to calculate how many rolls we needed he then messages to say there was not enough to finish. We bought more. It's now creeping into September and one/two strips of paper are still missing and the brand new door that was painted will need to be totally stripped and repainted. The last communication was 'when do you think you can come and finish the job we've paid you for?' reply was a blunt 'I don't know.' Although Wayne's colleague was very nice, the overall, unfinished experience has been time-consuming, costly and disappointing.
