Nice place to stay especially for the price! The bar tenders were good and the breakfast was amazing! Good fish and chips. Most of the patrons were good but there was definitely a local crowd that was sometimes a bit rough and unpleasant. Overall a good experience and will return.

We came on a sleepy Saturday lunchtime so food Waa limited only so not totally a fair assessment.Sandwiches, crepe or baked potato was all there was on offer.Chips were really tasty, but sandwiches were soggy, limp, sliced white bread and disappointing due to the bread. Simple improvement could be to toast the bread.Otherwise nice looking pub I would like to try another time when full menu is on.

Stayed the night in order to do the nearby 4 waterfalls walk. Had a Sunday lunch with them, not only was it delicious, but there was a good amount of it - even after the 5 hour walk we felt full! Clean, well appointed room and an absolutely fantastic breakfast. Recommended.

Called in recently on a Friday lunchtime.It was dead!Four workmen!No lights on!No heating!Girl behind the bar Yawning!Gents loo smelly and dirty!Awful pint of Madri, tasted more like Carling!Wife's coffee was cold and all milk!No food on offer!Been going here for over 50 years and I have never seen a transformation from what was a busy friendly place.I can only envisage the shutters up again and I heard its only re-opened!

Lovely pub, but sadly for me they do not have real ale on the pump. They did have John Smith's on tap but unlikely to visit again

My son performed here last night and it was the nicest welcome we have had. Our friends had the food and said it was great and the locals made us feel like one of them. Highly recommend

The food was delicious. The peas were so tasty, the chips are proper homemade and my son said the chicken was the nicest he had ever tasted.

We spent one night there. Spacious room, nice and clean. Friendly atmosphere. The owner is a very nice man. If we weren't so tired we would definitely go into the pub downstairs, it seems cool.

Can't say enough of this lovely pub. Fantastic good, wonderful, high quality food at a more than reasonable price. I had the standard carvery which left me stuffed! The staff were brilliant, friendly and efficient! To summarise, check out this traditionally English resteraunt for an amazing experience. I WILL be back!

Lovely little local pub on the main road. Friendly staff and colourful locals. Live music often at the weekend, reasonable prices
