Usually only eat at Coleman's when South of the Tyne, but couldn't be bothered to travel that far.Nothing beats Coleman's IMO, but this was a pretty good substitute!Mushy peas lacked flavour. Fish and chips were banging, though!

Fish was over cooked this time and thin as paper. Tried to call on 3 separate occasions to get the food replaced - no answer. Very disappointing for the price.

Called in today, chips were hard under-cooked. Fish is fried to order (most things are in here!) Wont go back for a long time. Will stick to Fountains, Carley Hill in future.

Award winning sign in window for 2019. I woudn't recomend an award going off my experience. Fish and chips were good not brilliant. Staff not particularly friendly. Seemed quite keen to close the shop 15 minutes before advertised time.

Food is ok but there are definitely better chip shops around the area. The elderly lady server (works usually Friday lunchtime) is particularly off putting. God forbid you should ask for something after you’ve ordered…lack of manners, professionalism and any sort of human emotion. She looks at everyone like they’re dirt. I felt the need to write this review to see if there can be an improvement. Whatever happened to service with a smile? Don’t work in customer service if you don’t like serving customers…

This is my first time eating fish and chips, delicious and hot like this, very good service, very fresh fish, very reasonable price, friendly staff and I will definitely recommend it to my friends mine. come here ♥️

Wow what happened to the nice and friendly staff! The fryer looks like he just didn’t want to be there. The chips were dry obviously been in the server quite awhile
