Our house required replacement joists and needed more ventilation. Protreat were very helpful prior to the work and booked it in quite quickly. The work was completed in a short period of time and we are very happy with the outcome. Would highly recommend.

We have been really pleased with the work Protreat have done for us. A dark, damp, miserable cellar has been converted into a fantastic living space. From start to finish the company and all of the staff have been excellent. At the very first meeting, their professional surveyor Dave listened to everything we wanted to achieve and gave valuable advice and ideas. Protreat didn't shy away from the difficult aspects of the job, such as removing the old stone staircase, which other companies had refused to do. They even came back and requoted when we had new ideas. We had some problems with the people who were going to do some of the preparation work for us, opening up the external access to the cellar and removing old stone flags before Protreat were scheduled to begin. This was our responsibility but we were let down - Protreat helped us out when we were stuck. When unforeseen problems occurred, they were quickly rectified with no unexpected charges added to the final bill. All of the staff are professional, friendly and tidy, cleaning up every evening before leaving. Communication was excellent throughout. Protreat handled Building Control and project managed the various suppliers that were involved. They even plumbed in my new washing machine for me, and cleaned it daily whilst the conversion was ongoing. Couldn't ask for more, we're thrilled to have chosen Protreat.

Recently moved into a doer upper only to find out we had woodworm.Protreat came and did a survey and booked us in for the work doing.Prior to work starting we had long term tiles taken up in the Hall through to the Kitchen only to find the infestation was much worse than anticipated. I contacted Protreat again and they came again the very next morning to do a further comprehensive survey. They pulled out all the stop and stuck to original treatment start date but with a much bigger job.They worked like trojans for five days including Saturday and Sunday coming early and putting a full days work in. They’ve done an absolutely brilliant Job for a fair price. Also leaving everything clean and tidy.Our house is now starting to feel like a home and I cannot thank them enough.Would thoroughly recommend Protreat to anyone.

So firstly, they visited our house on a few different occasions (once for a different job relating to woodworm activity and then twice more regarding requirements for tanking, due to rising damp) and each time, they offered honest advice about what was needed (and relating to the woodworm, they confirmed that what we were already doing was sufficient; this gave me confidence that they weren't just looking to take money from us for unnecessary work). There were several communications required before they came to do the work (lots of emails, phone calls due to the nature of the work - kitchen had to be ripped out, electronics done etc - to ensure everything was done as required, so lots of logistics) which they were happy to respond to and help where they could. With regards to the work;not only did they do an excellent job, but they did extra work/other work where I asked and/or where they suggested FOC (I asked for an electrical diagram to be updated if they moved any wires, which they did. There was leaking pipework which they spotted and tidied up for is - because if they hadn't it would have ruined the tanking membrane and plaster, which would have undone the work they did and cost us more in the long-term). They kept things as tidy as possible and they even tided up things that weren't their responsibility to do so (i.e. stuff out in our yard). They were agreeable to take further phone calls or emails should we need it, if any post work by other tradesman required any info (i.e. about position of wooden stud walls, about the tanking membrane or depth of plasterboards etc). Lastly, the guys were easy to speak to and accommodating; I didn't have any concerns about the way they were working or how they were operating in my home. If we have any further need of this type of work, we will be going to Protreat again.

From first contact we received a fast efficient service. They completed our damp proof course within 2 days as promised.We were very pleased with all aspects of the work carried out by Ryan who was very friendly and He worked non stop from start to finish.

After discovering woodworm at my new property, Protreat came out and did a survey very quickly and I booked them in.They removed a false wall, took up old infested floor and joists, put down new floor and joists, sorted out underfloor ventilation with new air bricks and also replaced an old window lintel too.Right from the beginning through to the end all the staff and workmen were amazing, friendly and helpful.All the work carried out I'm very pleased with and would highly recommend them.I will definitely use them again should I need to.

I contacted Protreat to carry out some remedial damp proofing work on a property I was selling. Their approach was extremely professional from day one. They promptly booked a site visit and determined that the timbers were sound (survey had suspected they might be rotting). They then carried out a timber treatment, installed a damp proof membrane on two walls and a partial chemical damp injection on an internal supporting wall. When further issues were identified part way through the work they were able to respond promptly and propose a solution to remediate. Their aftercare service in arranging an insurance backed guarantee was very smooth. All in all a fantastic job was done, everybody from the site surveyor, to the installers, to the office team were very helpful and professional. Just excellent.

I dont normally leave reviews, but felt that Protreat deserved this! From the moment I rang them they were brilliant. Friendly, utterly professional and set my mind at ease as I had not had a very good experience with a previous company. The work was completed in an extremely timely manner at my convenience, and they were again, professional, polite and made a great job. I couldn't be more pleased and wouldn't hesitate to recommend and I would feel really comfortable to use them again if needed. Thank you Protreat!

Extremely professional company - I would definitely recommend.I contacted Mel at Protreat with a potential damp query after my property had been tanked 6 years ago. Protreat visited my property within a few days and thoroughly checked that no damp was present.Protreat advised that the issue was related to a condensation problem caused by a ventilation issue and suggested contacting an engineer to install a mechanical trickle vent.In addition to this, Protreat emailed me their full report which detailed all their findings from their visit.Couldn’t recommend highly enough. They have given me peace of mind and I would use again in the future.
