Felt nervous first time going but made feel welcome and fairly enjoyed trying something new will def be back... coach and trainer is well spoken there are no egos in the gym and all round great place to learn and keep fit highly recommended also thanks for having the time to go over things a few times as it takes me a while much appericated

I trained with Aaron just when the club was starting. At the time I was a belt belt, having a bit over 3 years training experience. Despite this, I learned a huge amount from Aaron - both with grappling and wrestling techniques. Aaron had a brilliant way of articulating and breaking down complex topics, making it easy to learn to put into practice.If you're looking for somewhere where no-gi grappling and wrestling, this is the place to check out!

Aaron has a wealth of knowledge when it comes to grappling and fitness. He's easily able to communicate this knowledge to his students which allows them to grow in grappling confidence and competence at a much quicker rate. The gym has a friendly atmosphere and it's one of the things that stands out the most. Everyone is made to feel welcomed and Aaron is attentative and considerate when trying to ascertain fitness levels. There's no gym bro mentality at the club and you do things at your own pace, which is perfect if you're a beginner like I was when I first started at Newtownabbey Grappling Academy. .

Over the past few months, I have attended Aaron's classes in the mornings and it's clear to see he has a sharp and informative understanding of the biomechanics of the art of grappling. He is a friendly, approachable fella with a lot to give on and off the mats. If anyone is in or around the Ballyclare area do call in even if it is to sharpen up your own stand up or ground grappling game.

Gave fantastic advice on what mobility exercises I should do to help with a previous injury. Knowledgable about the techniques and practices used and explains it all in a way you understand without going into jargon. Would definitely recommend.

Great place to train, great atmosphere and great coaching. learned a lot training hear people are very nice and always eager to train. If your a beginner or done grappling for years this is a great place to come down and train at.

Can’t fault Aaron in anyway , from the first time I walked through the door with my daughter he was nothing but friendly welcoming and professional . My daughter was with savage martial arts for around a year and learnt more in a few weeks with newtownabbey grappling club than her whole time with the other outfit and all for a very affordable price
