I completed my open water course with Diveworld and it was a fantastic experience. Throughout the course I felt like I was in safe hands. I completed the open water dives with David Yates and he was absolutely brilliant at explaining everything clearly, providing reassurance and making me feel confident (despite the water being absolutely freezing!). I have since gone on to do 7 more dives in Cuba and loved every one; this is in no small part due to the knowledge and confidence I developed by completing my course with the fantastic instructors at Diveworld

Completed my dry suit qualification with Diveworld after passing my open water out in Egypt. The team here are very knowledgably, friendly & professional. Had great fun up at Capernwray with this guys, looking forward to progressing my diving! Instructors were fantastic.

Junior Open Water: I did it thanks to Diveworld!I recently completed my Junior Open Water and Dry Suit certifications with Diveworld. The whole team is brilliant. During the course I worked with Louise, Dave and Richard, with Paul and Chris supporting me 1:1 on some of my dives. Everybody at Diveworld is so nice and helped me so much with my learning, especially when I felt a bit nervous.I loved diving at Capernwray, it was so much fun to see the fish and the wrecks. All the instructors were patient, reassuring and encouraging. They really helped me to overcome my nerves through clear, kind and supportive instruction. I felt safe at all times and was confident in my ability to perform every skill and dive. The Diveworld team are super friendly and kind - they love everything scuba and their passion shines through in everything that they do. Absolutely fantastic experience. I did the discover scuba diving course for £45 and it was well worth it. I've never been scuba diving before and didn't know what to expect but the staff soon put me at ease.The staff are extremely friendly and knowledgeable. As soon as my circumstances allow, I will 100% be booking onto the next course.

Wasn't able to complete the PADI open water course because the main instructor was unproffesional and confrontational. Had a quite traumatic experience doing diving with this company and i'd stay clear of them if you're wanting to enjoy learning to dive. There's a lot of hidden costs they dont warn you about just to add to the bad experience. Hopefully they're able to take accountability and learn from their mistakes in future.

I have completed my PADI open water diver & dry suit speciality on the 10/10/2022 with Diveworld. I just wanted to share how much of a credit everyone who helped me get through my open water & dry suit course are towards PADI as an organisation. I have always wanted to become a certified scuba diver but had a lot of doubts and worries. There was definitely moments on the course where I doubted my abilities and let my fears overwhelm me. From the moment I walked into the dive shop to book onto the course Steven reassured all my worries & made me realise that this lifelong dream that I had always put off could be a reality & even now I still cannot believe I have gained my certification- it feels like a dream.I can honestly say I don't think I could have achieved my certification if it wasn't for the extreme patience & support off the team - especially David & Richard who certfied me & Paul and Chris who assisted on the open water dives.Everyone was so knowledgeable, friendly, patient & reassuring. The instructors are extremely knowledgeable that really took their time to explain things & get everyone on the course through safely. Louise is a total inspiration towards me as a female diver - she instantly made me feel comfortable & reassured me throughout the course on numerous occasions. Everyone has made me feel so welcome in the world of diving & has made me excited for my future as a scuba diver.

If you have an interest in scuba, from beginner to instructorIf you have an interest in scuba, there is no better place than Diveworld to learn some scuba skills, but if you want to learn to scuba dive; become an instructor, or develop instructor skills, and have a commitment to do well and succeed, then Diveworld is one of the best centres in the world to do this, (and they have the Padi certifications to prove it!). Why? Here is my experience:Having completed my Open Water Scuba Instructor Course with Diveworld, I’ve subsequently gone on to complete a further 10 Specialty Instructor Courses with them. All these courses again being expertly delivered by Steve; from the classroom to under water sessions. The material content, delivery of instruction, demonstrations and support provided have been to the highest level possible, meaning I feel like I have the skills required and confidence in my ability to deliver these courses proficiently thus enabling student divers to improve their diving skills.Steve doesn’t just deliver the content of the instructor manual, he goes into detail to explain why and provides scenarios, so I feel I’m armed with multiple methods of providing instruction or problem solving so that issues don’t become disasters under water.Throughout all of these courses, I’ve also received; advice, incredible support and encouragement from Louise, the co-owner of Diveworld. Not only has Lou taken care of all the logistics such as accommodation for training events, leaving me free to focus on my courses, we’ve had many a late evening chat re-enforcing Steve’s instruction and building on scenarios with her own experiences as instructor. Both Steve and Louise have given so much time passing on their knowledge which isn’t representative of standard course fees, this information really is priceless!I can’t really say that any of this learning has been particularly hard work, classroom, pool and open water sessions have been very active, but I’ve had so much fun too, all down to the manner in which learning is delivered.In my opinion, Steve and Louise make great mentors with the passion they personally have for scuba and the industry generally. Each had time for me whenever needed; giving little snippets of information that help become a better instructor and diver.I think the best way I can sum up Steve and Louise’s approach to anyone wanting to learn scuba skills is;If you demonstrate a willingness to learn and make that commitment, both Steve and Louise will invest their time in you and your training. Their standards are high and so too could your skills be!Thank you so much Diveworld. Thank you, Steve and Louise for all your; time, effort and professionalism, this has been a fabulous journey and one which can only grow more.

Today, we had a fantastic introduction to scuba diving by attending the Discover Scuba Diving (DSD) course at Stocksbridge with Diveworld. We had a wonderful time; our excellent instructor, Lee Hewitt, explained everything clearly, ensured we were safe and that we had a great time (we did). We’re keen to attend the Open Water Diving Course next! All the staff are friendly and eager to engage you, as are all the other divers on their courses. Thank you for a great experience, Diveworld!

All very friendly, very helpful and extremely knowledgeable.Just completed my Open Water and it was great fun.
