Small Train Station with limited services. Okay for links to Birmingham. It's Unstaffed most of the time though and the ticket machines don't work properly when it rains

Wanted to take a day trip to Birmingham from Tipton booked a day off work got to the Train station to find it closed with a sign on the door saying closed use the ticket machine got to the ticket machine to find it out of order what are you supposed to do someone fancied a break as the floor in the office was freshly moped

Does a good enough job of it's intended purpose - to get you as far away from Tipton as possible!On a serious note, it's staffed a lot of the time and has decent connections to Birmingham and Wolverhampton, albeit at a 30 minute frequency with a few extra long distance trains stopping later on in the evening. It's usually kept clean and is located in a convenient place, however the ticket office is often closed so you end up having to walk to the other side of the station just to use a ticket machine. It's also served frequently by local buses to and from Dudley and West Bromwich, on the 42 route.

Does the job intended with links to both Wolverhampton and Birmingham.Not usual staffed but on the Birmingham track there is a ticket machine.

Googled the opening times, closes at 2 but was already closed at 1.20. Really annoyed as wasted taxi fair and needed to speak with someone at the ticket office. Not the first time it's been closed when it's meant to be open either.

Dirty place. Felt intimidated using this station. Got accosted and insulted by four youths. They four young people thought it was funny to dangle their legs over the tracks before oncoming trains.Not even a ticket office to buy a ticket for my journey.This place is horrible to wait xx

OMG! This station is epic. Generously sized platforms that feel pleasant underfoot. No visit to Tipton is complete without spending time here. Fortunately I just missed my train so was able to enjoy 26 minutes here, punctuated only by a man shouting. Be sure to check the tunnel under the track - legendary!
