Gourmet Guide Restaurant Gift Vouchers
Due to the trusting person I am, I thought I would check with the restaurant I was booked with to ensure they had me down . Lo and behold they did not. Therefore, I contacted Gourmet Guide to raise this issue. They confirmed my details such as date they booked me in with the restaurant and date they paid the voucher amount. They called the restaurant and around 5 minutes later I had a callback from Gourmet saying it’s all sorted. I also had a new confirmation email as well.So, big thank you to Gourmet and especially Charlotte who dealt with this.

Nice welcome and good table overlooking the water. The celeriac soup was pretty tasteless and the ham hock terrine was served without the apricot puree and crackling and the wrong bread. It did however have piccalilli which wasn't on the menu and detracted from the dish. I had the halibut which was delicious and perfectly cooked. The bread and butter pudding was microbes as expected and tasted fantastic with the butterscotch sauce and ice-cream. It was rather too hot from the reheating though. I would eat there again as I know they can do better.

Fantastic customer service, booked last minute whilst taking a short birthday holiday break. The team were able to confirm a booking and redeem our voucher for dinner at The Inn At Welland. The meal was outstanding and thestaff wished me a happy birthday with a surprise cake!! Clean plates all round!Thank you to the Team at Gourmet Guide & The Inn at Welland

They are hopeless, use them at your risk. I ordered vouchers for my daughter's birthday, to be emailed to her. They didn't arrive (it was a Bank Holiday, but didn't they kind of know that?). I spent over an hour waiting in what I assumed was a phone queue (judging by the message) only to learn the next day that the office had been shut. At 11 a.m next morning, they still hadn't sent them. I rang and got the woman to email them while I was on the phone. No apology, just we were having problems with our IT". Never again....."

Food was lovely but the voucher had not been taken off the total bill! The manager wanted to see the voucher and the email even though the email confirmation said that I wouldn’t need to bring either! Luckily I had!

Worst website I have ever used, why is there not a full list of available restaurants that you can redeem the vouchers at. When you put in your postcode it gives a small list that doesn't even include restaurants that are 4 miles down the road that the card advertisers you can use. Absolutely dire.

Updated 25th Jan: I have now had a booking confirmed and Romana was very helpful and apologetic for the fiasco over Christmas.I've used Gourmet Guide several times over the past 5+ years, but its such a faff these days, I think this will be the last time. I also agree with the other comment regarding the website, its horrendous, but always has been.

On Friday we had an absolutely fabulous meal at The Grange in St Andrews. The chef and the Team went out of their way to ensure everything was perfect, even to the extent of extending their menu to accommodate our dietary requests (all vegans). The food was superb, the presentation fantastic and the service top notch. Couldn't fault at all.In addition, the Team at Gourmet Guide were so friendly and helpful too. I couldn't fault them either. What a great experience all round.

Pentland Restaurant at Dalmahoy Hotel and Country ClubTheir menu did not detail that there was meat in a fish course. The winter bean stew with the fish had meat in it.They didn't serve bread rolls with the cullen skink starter.They didn't have side plates. The skin from the fish had to lie on the table. Fortunately a side dish had a napkin with it.We had to ask for the water jug to be left on the table.The three course meals were enjoyed by both people.
