Wintonhill Farmhouse

What a fabulous place. My son and daughter -inlaw married in the castle. The whole weekend was fantastic. The staff couldn't do enough for for us. Always on hand.

We stayed at Wintonhill Farmhouse for two nights during Easter week 2023 for a friend's Stag do. There were 14 of us in total, but the Farmhouse was more than spacious enough for all of us to comfortably stay. It had all the amenities we could have wanted and it was wonderfully presented - clean, tidy, warm and welcoming. Plenty of parking space on the gravel yard outside too.At one point over the stay we tripped a circuit breaker and some of the lights stopped working but we gave the caretaker a ring (this was on Good Friday morning too) and he was with us within a few minutes. Lovely chap, so friendly and helpful, sorted it right out no issue!We were also chatting to the cleaning team as we checked out on our final morning and they were lovely and helpful too. In fact, everyone on the Winton team is so helpful and genuine! Lexi, Faye, Janis, Scott, everyone who helped with our booking and activities, they all truly care about making things the best they can for the guests and it shows - all of us on the trip had an amazing time and it honestly couldn't have been better. I can't recommend them highly enough!

Honestly one of the best stays we've had with our whole family in one place. Loads of walks and the kids loved the games room. Each room was gorgeous and the whole stay was unforgettable! We will most definitely be back.

Nice place for wedding reception and corporate days out

Lovely old farmhouse. 13 of us stayed there for my father's 80th recently, 10 years after our last family gathering in the same place for his 70th. 18 sat down for dinner in the evening which is the maximum number of adults around the table I should think and my father brought some extra cutlery with him for that meal! Plenty to do in the area but you need a car: wake boarding, Go Ape, Yellowcraig beach, seabirds at North Berwick, golf. Easy reach by car of Edinburgh and Dunbar.

Hosted a joint stag do over the Easter weekend for a party of 14, we are all gamers and took a lot of board games, tabletop games etc along. The accommodation was great with big comfortable rooms, plenty of space and in beautiful surroundings.The Dining room was a great size, allowing us to set up and play a number of different games, and could easily fit out whole party around it. The Kitchen also had a good sized table and generally became the focal point around meal times. The sitting room had some very comfy sofas and an open fireplace and was the favourite place to retire to in the evenings. There was also the games room in the back with a pool table, although it was the room that was used the least by our party. The bedrooms were also big and spacious and accommodated 14 with no trouble at all, we could have easily had a couple more. It's also worth mentioning that there was plenty of space to park as we had about 9 cars and there would still have been space for at least half a dozen more.As it was a gaming focused weekend we did spend the whole weekend in the house and didn't really leave. With that in mind I would say that the TV in the sitting room would have been a bit better if it was bigger. The wifi wasn't great either but I'd put that more down to there being 14 of us with numerous devices trying to use it at the once.All in all a great weekend and we are already talking about doing it again
