Hertford Camping and Caravanning Club Site

This is a great site for families with plenty space for the kids to run around- minimal play equipment though for such a large site.Definitely the biggest site we have been to. Facilities are in need of being updated -there was no hot water available during our visit and for a large site, there was only 2 facility blocks with 3 showers in each of the bathrooms which were rather tired looking.Pitches are a great size so you definitely feel like you have a space of your own, however no serviced pitches are available here and the only bin area and water filling was at the very start of the site (quite a walk for many pitches). No on site shop, but there was an ice-cream van which came around.Cant fault the staff who were lovely and very helpful - there is a temporary manager (Andy) here at the time of writing this who was very approachable and helpful.

Had a last-minute trip in our TentBox this weekend and what a great decision it was. Lovely site staffed by friendly people, great play area and loads of room for kids to run about. Beautiful old trees everywhere. Our six-year-old made friends immediately and had the best time. The only thing I'd say is it would be worth a regular litter pick on the playground, but I'm not taking a star off just for that!

Incredibly friendly welcome, we had a nice quiet pitch for 1 night. What let it down mainly was the cleanliness of the facilities. They could really do with just popping in more often to check on everything, not all guests are clearly as tidy & thoughtful as others!

The campsite was good, good set up, toilets cleaned daily, showers nice and hot, staff helpful, only criticism is a camping tent was put outside my caravan door on a hardstanding facing my caravan, which meant I had to keep my door and windows closed when the lads fired up the BBQ or had their music on, unsure why the tent was placed between two caravans, apart from this it was ok,

Beautiful, well maintained but could do with a club house, breakfast place. Loads of walks, a nice pub nearby and within minutes to Hoddesdon

Huge site with many individual areas, very peaceful with great walks, friendly and helpful staff and clean facilities what more could you want . Thank you.

Nice site clean site, very friendly staff, all facilities well kept including toilets, showers, pot cleaning and laundry. Has disabled and baby changing facilities. Also motorhome service point, small shop, fresh water and chemical disposal points. A mixture of hard standing, grass with or without EHU. A twenty minute walk into Hertford which has nice shops, supermarkets and trains to local towns and into London. Been here for a week and enjoyed, lots of wildlife to see including Red Kite, Woodpeckers, Deer and Fox

Absolutely loved this site. Great staff and a very clean and well maintained place. Plenty of space for everyone and everything you need for a great holiday. Hertford is a fabulous market town with plenty of dog friendly pubs.
