After been told we would have to wait half an hour for our food. We waited 1 hour!!! And only after going up and complaining we got our food. Staff said that it was extremely busy, but in all honesty we really couldn't see how, as half the restaurant was empty. We had children with us and a baby and that wait was not acceptable. If we were told how long it was actually going to be we would have gone elsewhere, honesty is the best policy. The food was extremely mediocre as well. She a shame as we have visited the Greengage many times over the years but this has put an extremely sour taste in our mouths!!The TVs also didnt work in the booths.The staff seemed extremely overwhelmed with stress as well. Maybe they need to look at getting more staff in to help.

We Come here often! Staff are very friendly! Ella, chloe, Rohan, Clare. The Landlady chloe couldn’t be more friendly and supportive! Food has always been spot on and even in busy times staff have been friendly and polite! We came here after my mother funeral and the support and kindness they gave the family was spot on! Continue the good work guys!

Visited for a cheap and cheerful meal with my sons having not been here for many years.Decent menu with variety of options. Food didn't take long at all to arrive and was all pretty good considering!

Nice large pub with a separate restaurant area, very good for kids, there's a few like bits in there to keep them entertained plus an outside dining area.They have a rather large menu with plenty to choose from including some super sized portions if you can stomach it !I would happily go back again, good value for money and a nice atmosphere. The staff where lovely aswell !They do a different deal each day off the week which is a nice added bonus

Came last weekend with the family and just want to say merry hat amazing service I received from Chloe.Very friendly and nothing was too much for her. Our food was amazing, not one of us left unhappy about anything. Couldn’t recommend this place enough honestly, and if you see Chloe that will just be a bonus to your visit. Thank you for hosting a fantastic family get together, no doubt we will all be back soon!

The place looked nice from the outside but very dark on the inside. We were put in a booth table that was very cramped and we had to ask to be moved. ordered food and told it was a 45min wait (3xfish & chips, gravy burger another burger and chips plus sausage and chips) ended up being over an hour. The food when we got it was over cooked and bland. Swapped mushy peas for onion rings and only got 2 rings. After we had eaten what we could we asked for coffee but was told they had no milk and that the coffee machine was not working. Not sure if that was true or that the staff just couldn't be bothered. Very disappointed and definitely not worth the price.

Went for meal and ordered 2 sizzling steaks and a side dish of Mac andcheese , steaks were like minute steak's no exaggeration, and certainly not sizzling, the onion and peppers were half cooked that it comes with, the peas were hard and tasted uncooked, Mac and was not grilled so the cheese not baked and cooked properly. On the plus side the lady behind the bar gave good customer service as well as the waitress. Haven't been there for ages because of all the bad reviews then saw that there was a few good ones so decided to give it a try, I kid you not about the steak.

What would have been an enjoyable evening a part from one member of staff, I believe her name is Claire. The food was really nice, served quickly and very reasonably priced. Claire, was abrasive, at times, down right aggressive, I'm surprised the plates didn't break but she did it all with a kind of manic, I'm really good at customer service but would really want to throw this food over you" approach. I'd be put off going back. Why is this lady so unhappy in their job? Otherwise

I've been eating here for almost 20 years. Saw a review that said it was poor. Still went as never had a bad meal. The staff were rushed off their feet. Plates, left,with food still in them. Mine was shocking. I had gammon as always. Chips tasted like they'd been re heated. Peas hard. No point complaining as other people looked though they'd tried. Won't be going back unless I read different. Shame
