I was born there. It's been around forever. It is one of the biggest hospitals in London.Old buildings mixed with bolted on new wings.Accident and emergency on a Friday and Saturday night is like an episode of Netflix Black Mirror, the first season not the second and definitely not the third. The staff do their best and work hard. I appreciate everything they do, from the cleaners' porters, doctors, and nurses, to the receptionist and everyone else in between.Lewisham Hospital is a magnificent example of social care.Long live the NHS!

I’m so grateful for the kindness and support I received from the amazing staff at Lewisham & Greenwich hospital. After a cycling accident my partner brought me to Urgent Care. Once admitted, they could see I wasn’t in great shape and got me seen by a doctor. The doctor and his team were so patient and kind. Throughout the whole experience, they communicated perfectly the steps that were being put in place and reassured me many times that I’d be ok, when they could see that I was starting to become distressed. I will never forgot the care and empathy I received from these incredible people. Thank you NHS.

Disgusting! Arrived at with severe chest pain at 8pm and the time is now 3:14am! Bloods got taken 5hrs ago, no follow up no results nothing! Barely anyone in the A&E, staff are just saying they don't know what's going on and we will get seen when we get seen so wth is actually going on!

After visiting this hospital twice in a week, once as a patient and once as a supportive friend, I must say that although waiting is long (about 5-6 hours) it’s the quickest hospital I’ve been to in London. I can see why people had bad experiences there as well, but a hospital is a hospital… I suggest to bring a friend with patience because then it can also be a great bonding time. Also, headphones are recommended if u don’t wanna hear certain coughing noises, there’s an option on Spotify to listen to the same song at the same time as your friend so u can keep the hang going together <3

This is me being forced to wait on a dirty floor with a possible broken foot. I have a baby with me and they haven’t given me somewhere covid-safe to wait with my baby. NICE guidelines on triage time complete fail.

Ideally I would love to give a 1/2 star rating.Had some severe chest and back pain attacks from 6am that as the day progressed got extremely bad.I have ongoing heart related issues and I would assume if you aware of this, plus seeing a grown man crying in forward chair fold position because any other position majorly cuts off breathing; you would try and assist or at least let a doctor review the patient within a reasonable time.No that did not happen! I sat in an overcrowded waiting room ( with a neutrophil count of 1) for 2 hours before I saw a nurse that was told to complete a blood test for kidney and full blood count.I was asked what happened and when I finally saw a doctor 3 hours after my bloods was drawn I released the nurses notes did not include any of my conditions or the high levels of pain I was in.I was sent for an, X-ray by the doctor, after sitting with acute pain ( for 5 hours in the waiting room) that is now crushing my rib cages and made breathing a lot more painful and shorter. Finally I thought, this is it. Someone will care, but no!!! Just NO!I waited for the X-rays results and although the X-ray results was available the blood results was nowhere to be found (4.5hours after it was drawn).1 phone call to follow up and the reply from the blood lab was wee will look into, we will get back with the hour.I was sent back to the waiting room and 23 people came and went, 11 yellow tubes of blood passed me( bloods from the 23 people that came after me); people had CT scans, my doctor came and called 6 people that arrived hours after me BUT NOT ME!The doctors hardly makes eye contact when they pass me, and when asked what’s my ETA I was told “we advise your patients not to ask “how long” we have a average waiting time on the TV screen so let us know after you calculated.”The TV said 5H15min, And I have now been here for 7H43min with no answers, no blood test, no pain relieve, just a grown man sitting in a corner trying to manage his own chest pain and breathlessness under a mask. And as I pressed send to this review, I was told that our waiting time has gone up (8H18min) And that I need to potentially redo my bloods if I want a result or if I want can’t wait I am welcome to go home.I could not reply, cause the crushing chest pain does not allow me be breath properly. So now I am waiting, and no one has come forward to redo my bloods, check on me or help me either reduce the pain or open by breathing.Sometimes, all you can think about is do they really care or should a lawyer make them care more.I would like to share my disappointment in1. Ambulance service team2. Ambulance service to Lewisham nurse handover3. Nurse with poor comms that drew my blood,4. Blood lab team5: doctor with the attitudeBut to my doctor, thanks.

The best hospital I’ve ever been to in London. Lovely staff, good organisation, shorter waiting times in A&E. All-round wonderful experience. Congratulations Lewisham!

Spent somewhere around 8 hours in children's urgent care.. even though when I arrived the waiting time to see the doctor was 35 mins we were left waiting much longer than that. Very poor communication between staff and patients and actually seems among staff members too.. when I asked if we will be seen soon, everyone had a different answer and failed to explain that long waiting time is to observe baby's condition rather than the staff being busy. On top of that they prescribed antibiotics to be taken on empty stomach to a little baby that breastfeeds on demand. And the instructions they provided contradict those given by the manufacturer..
