Simply one of the best places to eat in the St Helens area. All the food is cooked fresh and the portion sizes are generousl. The staff are welcoming and friendly. Nothing is too much for them. It's worth coming just to try the amazing Sunday lunches. This place is a hidden gem.

We booked the restaurant/room for our Grandson's 21st birthday, with 40 guest's. A good time was had by all. Super food, even catering for the kids, reasonable prices and the staff were all amazing. One of the friendliest venue's we have been to.A big thank you from all our family.

First time visitor, ordered Sunday Lunches to take away.Portion sizes didn't look much till transferred on to plates at home food was lovely.Will definitely use again.

Overall I liked it, food cooked fresh and service was fine.. wine glasses on the table in a effort to appear like a proper restaurant but its definitely a pub feel, nothing wrong with that but felt confused in what it was.. my only real criticism though was chips., I hate fries and would of preferred proper chips with my burger and my son ordered southern fried chicken burger which was stacked with 2 burgers so generous in size but wasn't southern fried

Pleasant staff...been twice before food was good....shame they charged nearly a tenner for a miniscule piece of steak pie...watery gravy...and bread that was fit to put out for the birds...coffee that was so strong despite it supposedly being a latte i could have made 3 drinks out of it even with the 2 jugs of hot milk i was given....give it a miss and go elsewhere. Was deserted even though it was teatime...will not return for a 4th time...too competetive business and lots of good places to eat....need to up their game. Was absolutely freezing as well....a damp cold chill...not pleasant

Food very tasty. Vegetarian meal was good. However the homemade pie portion could have been slightly larger. We came with friends and eat quite a lot at various restaurants. Maybe also vegetarian menu could be expanded too. Friendly and helpful staff . Would eat there agsin.
