Tired and rundown most of the stalls have gone. Crying shame it used to be a busy vibrant place

I remember walking round this market 50 years ago with my mum . On a Saturday it was shoulder to shoulder. You could buy everything from fresh food to endless household goods. I particularly remember the stamp shop opposite the row off endless by butchers stallsSo sad to see it so almost empty and run down. A sign of the times I think. Someone needs to come up with an innovative plan to rejuvenate this area

Quite old style building and surrounding. Decent people, cheaper than Liverpool. Good location, and plenty of car parks (disabled, too) for really cheap hourly rates (50p/hr in the multy storey car park - pyramid). 5 minutes in the tunnel from Liverpool. All the brands here, what you normally need and chains.

Run down, dismal, depressing,,, looks like it will shut pretty shortly,, the stallholders left, just a few are still doing a great job serving their regulars, but they have been treated pretty shoddily by local council,, future doesn't seem very bright for them,,Sad to be honest, but same thing happened in Chester, and the replacement ' market ' is nothing better than a food hall now !!The whole town shopping experience has sadly changed with precincts and out of town Malls ruining small independent traders,,,, but local councils don't seem to care, just charging extortionate rares and parking fees,,,

I think it is so sad to see the market this way, I'm some one that remembers the old Victorian market and the hustle and. Bustle that was there I loved going there and I'm sure a lot of people did but not so with the present market !!! What is Wirral borough council thinking of.

Many large retail facilities have suffered so much since the covid pandemic.This has taken a major hit yet thankfully the brave few have tried to weather the storm. Vital areas for our community should be offered more protection to move forward in such a way as to ensure their ability to continue

Great market place little bit sad because not many stalls left due to greedy council members on the wirral

Me and the wife were here today 07/08/2023 had a good walk around the shops went in the indoor market a shame to see a lot of units empty but this is the modern times and i think the people in charge would like to see all the indoor markets gone so they can build retail parks anyway while in the indoor market had a nice full english breakfast in Alexandra's cafe we always go in here can't fault the food and the tables and floor are always kept clean well done girls.

Oh dear , it’s been a long time since I’ve been to the market, talking to one of the stall owners the council are forcing people out so they can demolish market and Repurpose the space. One shining light was the merseyside collection centre has been on site since early 70s.. great service from the team.. 5 ⭐️ for them..
