Lovely setting. Worth a visit to see the old railway station and waiting rooom. The volunteers have also set up a model railway . Drinks and small selection of snacks available. You can sit in the carriages and enjoy the view towards Crooks Peak. Only open at weekends and school holidays. Totally run by volunteers. Great little stop along the Strawberry line.

It was a very nice visit, enjoyed equally by both me and my 8 year old daughter. She had a lovely time pretending to be engineer and the station master. Everything is so beautifully preserved, it reminded me of stories like the railway children :)

Beautiful place - a hidden gem in the countryside with very easy access to Bristol & the surrounding areas. The staff are all friendly and nothing is ever too much. Would definitely recommend!

Sandford Station Retirement Village
A family member lives here in The Russets dementia nursing home. It's a fantastic place, the staff are wonderful and friendly, it's relatively recently purpose built and the environment is really light and calm. Great facilities on site including a restaurant where we eat regularly as a family, a gym, a pool, a library and lots of events going on. It's a friendly community and the care provided seems really good. It's a relief to be able to trust St Monica's to look after our family.
