First visit with friends. Use the Stone branch and was looking forward to seeing what they had done to Bennett's. Quickly Sat at the bar to enjoy drinks. Definitely be back to try the food.

Food was nice, servings as expected and the atmosphere was pleasant. However on arrival our reserved table was not prepared so we had to wait 5 minutes to be seated. When ordering drinks, 1 was forgot then when reminding the staff we had to wait another 10 minutes for the peach ice tea to arrive. For the food, 3 sides were forgotten and service was slow when asking for an update, so by the time they came we had almost finished mains. For the price we were paying this is disappointing as I had high expectations.

Outstanding! Bear has always been a favourite of ours and now one has opened in Ashbourne we can’t stay away. They have renovated the building tastefully, it’s a great environment to enjoy a meal and some cocktails or even just a coffee! The food was incredible, as were the cocktails! Thank you!

We had a table booked on Saturday for 8pm. On arrival we were greeted by a very friendly member of staff and shown to our table.We had a different waitress serving us and she was equally as friendly.We didn’t have to wait long for our drinks order to be taken, shortly followed by our food order.My husband and I both had the Dirty burger. This did not disappoint! It was actually the best burger both of us have ever had! So tasty and just the right amount.For dessert I had the lemon tart with raspberry sorbet and it was delicious, a flavour bomb!We tried the beer and some cocktails, all great!The atmosphere and our evening on a whole was wonderful, we really enjoyed it.Just one negative - they had ran out of a few things, would have been more helpful to be told before we ordered to save time and disappointment.We will be back!

We went last night, the food itself was nice however the pizza fondue was nowhere enough food wise and way too expensive for what you got. It’s a shame as I think it could be a brilliant addition to Ashbourne. Went for lunch and that was really good.

I will start this review by stating it was the first Friday night opening but there were some inexcusable issues listed below1. 2 hours from table booking time to be served2. At least 20 minutes for drinks to make it to the table from ordering3. Not being asked how the food was4. Empty glasses and plates being left on the table after fresh items being delivered5. No apologies for delays on drink or foodSo I will get into the actual evening, we arrived and were seated in a timely manner from this point onwards I can describe the evening as waiting for anything and everything. We ordered drinks whilst waiting for friends. For non alcoholic options they are very limited to pretty much an over priced can of coke not even able to order sodas or cordials. The beer was good and cocktails were flavoursome the down side was having to go find someone to take the order waiting 5 mins for them to turn up to take the order and then waiting 15-20 minutes for the drinks to turn up. The menu looked appetizing with dirty fries and the promise of loaded tacos and stacked burgers. What was eventually served after a 2 hour wait was a disappointing tray of 3 small tacos with limited filling and overcooked cooked chicken, the chef has obviously never seen loaded fries as they served a small bowl of chips with a drizzle of sauce and a couple of pickles thrown on top. I do wonder if they had gone out to buy the ingredients during our wait as it should not of taken two hours to cook what was served.I think the management need to take a long hard look into how they failed to support the new staff on opening night with guidance to keep things flowing and customers happy. I honestly feel sorry for the staff as I could not see a manager in sight supporting what should be seen as a failure of an opening night.

Love the Bear brand and their coffee and food. Cannot wait for them to open here in Ashbourne. Sure they will be a great 5 star venue.

I was with my wife of Sunday afternoon in Ashbourne and we spotted new place in Town.Not bad looking from outside, not bad in side as well.Menu - ok ( only soup could be add )Prices - not badFood quality - very good as well.Nice as that kind of places coming back to town.

Absolutely love the blend of coffee, I have been to this location 3 times already including the later at bear on the first Saturday night.Food was delicious and a great variety of cocktails! The staff were all so friendly and can tell service will just get better as time goes on. Great to see it so busy in our town

Been to Bear three times since it has opened. Always delicious food. Very accomodating and helpful when a friend and I arrived with two large prams during lunch service. The coffee is great - my husband buys their beans to use at home.
