Howdens - Cambridge

I would have given no stars Rubbish policy and service , Was told by BoB of Howens DON'T sell to pupil you have to employe builder ! They then can purchase kitchen and fit , So i can't fit the kitchen myself, On asking questions i said it's not fair for the pupil to purchase the kitchen & fit ourselves he's reply was 20 odd years over 600 stores Howdens have managed without the pupil ! So are the other reviews posted by Builders/ customers ? As if the deal only with the trade how can customers give reviews ?

We thought that Howdens in Cambridge, were offering high quality cupboards. So we went for them among all the other offers. Worst decision ever.First the guy that was designing the kitchen, Ian Robinson, did not know that much about design, but this was not terrible, because we were happy doing our own design.It was the delivery of the kitchen that was a mess: Ian kept forgetting to send all the pieces, and our fitter had to go back and forward to the depo to claim the pieces missing. My husband and I had to go there as well several times, because our fitter was tired of dealing with them. I went to claim one corner filler, because our kitchen had two corners and they only had sent one corner filler. It is amazing what happened there. Ian was not on the office so I talk to another person, Jamie, that after checking the account and the design told me that there was not a second corner filler, so the fitter should build it without it.At the end our fitter build the kitchen without that corner filler, and it is really not working. One year later we have gone to Howdens because the corner cupboard does not work properly, not really related to the filler, and the bin cupboard door is also loose and not fit for purpose.We have complained to Howdens and they sent a guy to check the cupboards. On his visit, he seemed positive to notice that the two cupboards mentioned were not working, and that there was the need of the corner filler. But now, after talking to his manager, Howdens are totally eluding responsibility, they say that the problem is the fitter who should have insisted more about getting the corner filler, as if going 5 times to claim the missing parts was not enough, but also as if I had not ever gone there and been told that there was not corner filler.Howdens is not taking responsibility for their errors and mistakes and now the manager of Howdens Cambridge in Coldhams Lane pretends that is the mistake of the fitter. But she not even acknowledging that the two cupboards are not working properly neither.This demonstrates that quality of the cupboards is not as good as they claim, after a year only the corner cupboard should not miss function. But also Costumer Care is disastrous, as they cannot even take responsibility of their mistakes towards the costumer.

Outstanding. Quality products and craftsmanship.Personal service is a rare gem these days! A massive thank you to Lorna for great service & a lovely person to deal with. So many companies overlook how important it is to have people that represent the ethos of a company. Staff that have professionalism, product knowledge and integrity but most of all a genuine rapport with all customers: traders, builders, architects & designers. And patience! High quality products, fair prices & no lead times! All staff really helpful.

Such a great team .Lorna and Rob in particular were outstanding when I needed to replace a kitchen cabinet door and plinth.It’s so lovely to find such a friendly team and my kitchen looks amazing.

we had a problem with worktops & units supplied to us, but Rob the assistant manager brilliantly sorted out our issues. Massive thank you to Rob, is really asset of Howden. Highly recommending Howdens kitchen in coldham's road.

The kitchen cupboards are not working after 9 months, the doors are loose and overall the corner cupboard is a disaster, it is a pain every time i have to open it.Now the company does not want to make effective the 10 year warranty.

I bought a kitchen 1 year ago and many items were missing on delivery. We had to go 5 times to Howdens to get the bit and missing pieces. One corner filler was missing and Howdens said that it was normal. Obviously a mistake from Howdens employee at that time but now Howdens management refuses to take responsibility which is chocking.On top of that door bin and corner door are getting very loose but they refuse to acknowledge it.Poor quality and terrible care for customer at that address.

Chris Young - Counter sales, was incredibly helpful. After visiting two other local stores with almost no assistance he couldn't do enough to help me, even though my enquiry was relatively small, he took time to understand the problem, went and measured up possible draw options and gave a very personal service...he really cared about helping the customer. Well done Howdens! I'll be back to buy my kitchen from you.

Very friendly bunch and very happy with the service / exchanges , refunds etc.

We had the second appointment to finalize our new kitchen and we left after 20 Min because miss. G the designer behave like if she had enough, not happy to suggest us options or even to listen to us. Being treated like kids is not what you exactly expect. Everyone has bad day but when you work with public you should be able to cope with your mood!
