Aggie Morgan violin and viola teacher

My son has been having violin lessons with Aggie for several years. He thoroughly enjoys his lessons, and Aggie's engaging style of teaching and humour keeps him interested. She is very professional, approachable, and goes above and beyond, even coming around the house to tune his new violin. She also gave lessons over face time when in lockdown so my son was able to keep up his violin practice. Thoroughly recommended.

I have always wanted to learn to play the violin when I was younger but did not have the opportunity. Now a man, in my mid 40s I have decided to learn with the wonderful Aggie.I was intially nervous and scared as an adult learning a new skill and naturally so as I had some very scary teachers in the past. Aggie has been extremelly patient, kind and inspirational. She puts my nervous disposition at ease.I do like the way Aggie relays information to me and is willing to answer my numerous questions. She ensures I fully understand the notes before moving on.I also like the fact that despite my numerous mistakes, Aggie is extremelly calm, patient and willingly goes over the necessary hand movements or positioning with me till it is correct. This is really important to me as I dont feel silly for not grasping the notes or positioning the first time.Aggie is very inspirational when she speaks to me and offers great advice and encouragement. I can see a huge difference from when I first started a few months ago.Aggie also recommended a Violin for me to purchase as a beginner, restrung it and tuned it for me . I would not have known how to do anything of that nature as an adult beginner with no previous experience. This was such a lovely touch.I highly recommend Aggie as she is truly inspirational, an outstanding PATIENT teacher, good humoured and fun to be taught by and genuinely considerate in ensuring learning takes place.

Aggie is wonderful with children and you know that she truly cares about each pupil.As a parent I really appreciate the feedback that I receive from Aggie and the advice and support that we have had. The help with choosing an instrument, accessories and books has been invaluable! During the lockdowns Aggie has provided online lessons and even arranged to come to the house to tune the violin, safe and socially distanced.Highly recommend!!!
