Roy at Lawcomm has been truly amazing. He is so efficient and quick in sorting our remortgage with great communication. He responds to emails within the hour and is always very accommodating for any questions as well.Would highly recommend it for anyone looking for conveyancing work.

We had several issues with this firm!Firstly, Lowcomm managed to miss our deadlined for exchanged of contracts. Therefore, the property had to be re-evaluated again. Meanwhile they changed our solicitor (Sophie Nivoit-Graham) without notifying us and we just found out from the reception when we were chasing why the property completion date. Then we found out that Ally Filer took over and that was complete utter disaster. She was unhelpful, unresponsive and deadline for completion was missed. To make things even more frustrating is that we had been handed over the property 2 weeks later because she didn’t notify lender in time.Then the cash back from the lander which was paid at the time of completion hasn’t been transferred to us. We chased the lender that confirmed that the money were already transferred to our solicitors months ago. When we contacted Ally and chased them for the money, it took them a month to transfer money over to us that should have been done months ago on the first place without chasing!Now we are more than a year in our new property, chased several times to get our signed contracts and land registry documents but again with no response!This firm never acted in our interested and managed already stressful process make even more difficult for us. AVOID AT ANY COST

We used Lawcomm in 2006 and again this year for conveyancing. On both occasions they’ve been excellent. Personable, efficient, keeping us informed and competitive in fee costs are the basics that are expected of the people progressing a house purchase which Lawcomm excelled at.Michelle Gibson was the conveyancer for 2006 and it was a pleasant surprise to find her still there 17 years later when I contacted Lawcomm this year about our purchase. This time she put me on to Ellen Cooper who was as easy and pleasant to deal with as Michelle. We didn’t at all feel like Ellen was just ‘doing her job’ for us but more that she was ‘on our side’ with that wonderful balance of being personable whilst ‘doing her job’!I can, from our own experience on 2 separate legal processes, warmly recommend Lawcomm and have no doubt that when the time comes (I’m sure we’re not done with house purchases yet!), we’ll be contacting Lawcomm for the third time without the need to search/research conveyancing firms. We are first time buyers so didn’t know what to expect but Shirley was amazing every step of the way! She was so accommodating and kept us up to date on everything. She gave us great advice which was very much welcomed as first time buyers. We would recommend and use her again! She did an amazing job and so quickly. Ellen Cooper is brilliant. The best conveyancer by far.I have worked with 3 solicitors during buying and selling properties. Lawcomm is by far the best that I have worked with. I was assigned Ellen and she has been fantastic. I felt throughout the whole buying process that she fought my corner. She ensured that all paperwork was sorted and everytime a snag was hit during the purchase process, she managed it expertly. They have an online portal which clearly outlines the process and keeps track of all documents. At any time you can download the documents. She was very responsive via phone and email.I cannot thank you enough Ellen and I don't think the purchase would have gone through without the hardwork you put in.Don't even think twice if you're considering Lawcomm, just go for it and Ellen is a credit to the firm.

Lovely company we worked with Carolyn and in the last week or so Donna whilst Carolyn was on holiday. This wasn't an easy case as we had 3 houses to sell one in Notts and 2 in Leeds and then 2 purchases both in Selby for my sister and I. We have now moved into our forever homes in Selby and are very happy. All I can say is thank you Carolyn and the team I know it was stressful at times but it was well worth the wait!!!!! All the best for the future!!!!

Well that was easy :)I thought that selling my father's retirement flat was going to be a real pain as I had such little information to offer.Thankfully, I couldn't have been more wrong.Lawcomm as a whole, were excellent on all levels but none more so than Ellen Cooper who proved to be a real star. She was so helpful with clear, regular communication and a totally pleasant manner which lead to the whole process being simple and stress free.I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone.

I recently wasted 6 months of my life on a property where I was completely messed around from start to finish by the seller and estate agent, I can honestly say if I didn’t have Bernard Arhin in my corner, fighting for me every step of the way, I’m sure I would have lost my sanity at times. Although I didn’t get the result I was after on that property and ended up having to withdraw, I can honestly say Bernard helped me through every step and was always there when I needed him. I also need to give James Clarke a big shout out too, because he helps make everything run so smooth from start to finish he was always very responsive to any queries I had and addressed them so promptly. Lawcomm Solicitors was a great service for purchasing our first house. Carolyn was our solicitor, and we greatly appreciated her help explaining the process and particularly complex parts of conveyancing. She was very communicative and explained parts very well, resulting in a very pleasant process. We completed well ahead of others I know, and Lawcomm’s no purchase no fee policy was particularly great as we had to change properties during purchasing.
