Alpha Flow Screeds

I never write reviews but I have made an exception in this case:I was recommended Alpha flow Screed from a friend and I called them to make an appointment I got through to Alan who after a couple of calls came out to visit the site. A price was agreed through email and I paid the 50% deposit. I was then given two dates via text message One for installation of bead screed and the other for the installation of the surface screed.I waited patiently then got another text to say the lorry was involved in an accident and my date was put back a few days. The night before the proposed installation I got a text message to say the installation would be done at 12 Noon, then got a text late the night before saying it would be started at 7:30 am.7:30 the next morning the guys turned up to do the installation. Two guys in a van and another in a Lorry. They quickly told me that they would not be doing the installation, as in their opinion the road was unsuitable for the Lorry. When I asked what should I do? They asked me to call Alan who surveyed the job. I tried to call him but there was no answer. I then continued to discuss it with the installation team and they told me that they would be able to find an alternative solution and it wouldn’t be a problem, but it would be up to Alan to organise it, at that they left.I was disappointed not to have had the job done on that day but was hopeful having been assured by the installation team that it could be done.I called Alan again at 11:30 am and I got through, however he said that he did not see the problem with the access to the property but it was up to the discretion of the driver. I then asked him as to what other alternative arrangements could be made to which he said that he would not help me. He said that he could still provide the finished floor but not the bead screed and that there was nothing that could be done. I proposed several alternatives all of which he refused. He just washed his hands of the whole thing and effectively threw us under a bus with looming deadlines for the project completion.Two weeks passed and I still hadn’t heard anything back from AFS until I got a call from the accounts department who rang to offer me a refund as the job had been cancelled altogether?? I’m not sure who made this decision as it was never agreed with me. I asked to speak with the manager Mark (who I am still waiting on calling me and will probably never happen)The best advice I can give is to stay clear of these cowboys, they don’t give a damn about you they have zero aftercare they will leave you in the lurch and provide no alternatives. The site Estimator / Surveyor (Alans) level of feedback is non-existent and clearly his competence is questionable. They take on jobs that they won’t complete and provide no alternative arrangements leaving the customer with months of Project delays and additional cost.Avoid at all costs!!!!
