Wonderful service at this lovely local bookstore.Zero pressure however I was keen for some recommendations and received honestly the best service I have had in any store... ever! Ended up getting 2 gifts and something for myself. One specific item I was after was out of stock but could be ordered in which is fantastic.Ashamed to say my first time here but by no means my last!P.S. check out their social media for updates!

Really great local bookshop with very helpful staff, lots of choice too.Went to a book launch of Paul Moorcroft today which was excellent.

What a stunning little shop! Everything you could want from a book shop. A good collection of staff recommendations, signed editions and helpful staff with a wealth of knowledge. The ability to order books in is an excellent service too.

From across the pond, I will say the service I received from Alys and Mel was extraordinary!! I was eager to send a particular book to a friend in Wales but the logistics and cost of sending it from the US made my idea seem impossible. That’s when I discovered this lovely little book store with the most incredible customer service. They patiently answered my many questions and even agreed to add an inscription to the book to make it more personal. I wish I could move Mel, Alys and the Griffin Bookstore to my hometown in the US. I’d be their best customer.

Lovely bookshop, and great to see an independent shop thriving. However, my experience was impaired by the service. I went in this morning, and found several books to buy, but while I was searching the assistant was almost constantly watching me suspiciously, and quite obviously looking at my bag as if I were going to steal. It spoiled the experience for me. I realise that, sadly, shoplifting happens, but please try to remain alert to this problem in a more subtle way. The vast majority of your customers aren't thieves, so don't make them feel unwelcome and uncomfortable by treating them with obvious suspicion.

Tremendous online service. Tried to track down a book that was out of print. Most other online retailers either refused to help or hacked the price considerably. Griffin books kept to the same price, did all the print on demand" processing and shipped me the book as soon as it arrived with them
