Folly Dolly Falls

Beautiful hidden gem.Well worth discovering, such a tranquil little place.A lovely walk, seeing nature along the way.

Nice little walk from Morrisons in Meltham. You park on the residential side road and follow the path along the cycle route. Then there is an opening on a fence on the left. Go down the steps and walk around the tree and bear right. You’ll see a little tunnel on the right, then walk left to see the waterfall! It can get muddy, so need waterproof footwear!

Nice walk along the Old railway line, now a bike/walkway.. Started by woodland walk, huddersfield road B6108.. Up the road and under a tunnel before finding my way upon to the walkway, which leads you to the Falls via a dirt track.keep eyes right or you could miss it.. Sides of the Falls are steep, slippy when wet, if you want to go down to the foot of the waterfall. So not good for smaller kids.. A view point as been erected for photo opportunities, not much rainfall prior to my visit, hence lack of water, but someone said after heavy rain or winter time, water is fierce over the top, which makes for great photos... Few people about while I was there, told this little gem gets busier at weekends... Will come back after heavy rain or winter..

Beautiful little spot with a waterfall. Unfortunately, it is tiny, so there is no seating to sit and watch the water, but there is a platform above to view.Being summer, I was able to go to the stream and walk over the rocks in the water to the other side, which I assume you wouldn't be able to when in full flow.It looked so pretty.

If you didn't know it was there you'd walk straight passed it. We'd had quite a bit of rain recently but the falls weren't overly spectacular,nice enough spot tho.

Beautiful little spot, very tranquil, had been raining lots prior to visit ,so waterfalls were quite full. Slippery underfoot due to weather , enjoyed the visit. Definitely not accessible for disabled or pushchairs.

One of the worst experiences to explore this waterfall. There is no waterfall at all. Its just a nice walk from both ends. Review should be honest and clear for tourists. Very disappointed on this tour of waterfall but we enjoyed the walk. That's it.

We parked at Morrisons, it was around 15 minutes walk from there to the waterfall.The walk was good. But make sure you visit the waterfall after some rainy days, because when we visited in may, it was mostly dry, and there were lots of small flies around the waterfall. (You can see in the video clip)The only plus, some scenic views on the way and a nice walk.

Amazing waterfall a must see place if you are in the area. The views from the top are nice. There is a walking path right to the waterfall.Only thing I would say is be careful when I was there filming for my YouTube channel the rocks were very slippy and there is a lot of green moss near the waterfall so it is very slippy so take your time walking near the waterfall.

Think it's worth going if there has been good rainfall recently otherwise its a bit underwhelming. Easy walk from the town centre, along the old railway line. As with anywhere in this region you can carry on walking in stunning scenery to make more of a ramble of it. Actually quite easy to miss as the path (old railway line) travels above it and the stream from the falls travels underneath. With strong water flow I'm sure it would be very pretty.
