Great spot for brunch, food was great, got the chicken and pancakes as well as the balans potatoes which were well seasoned. Mihai was a great server. Would come back!

I had a Flat White, Vegan Pancakes and French toast at Balans, and chose to sit outside to enjoy a side of sunshine!The vegan pancakes was fresh, fluffy and well paired with berries and maple syrup. You could chose between banana and berries as a topping.The French toast was topped with banana and pecan nuts.The portion of the food, and drinks was great. Service was fabulous, a waiter came to our table every 10 minutes to ask if we were okay. Overall a great brunch spot!

We had high expectations but unfortunately the place did not deliver. The food was very averageThe best dish was the beef tartar. I totally understand the up selling of the dishes, but at very least, the waiter should tell to guests the mains come with x and z so you will have 2 sides of the same. As ithappens, we only ate one. The steak was good but didn't understand as why the 1.3kg was the only one available! Up selling I guess :)

We had the breakfast Burrito and the mushroom omelette that came with roast potatoes, both very tasty. Happy with the portion size as it was quite big. Although it's a bit pricey you definitely get what you pay for.

Ordered Fried Chicken Pancake, Thai Red Curry, Prawn Linguine, Three Cheese Quesadilla along with drinks. Waited less than 15 minutes food was served. Compliments to the chef, the signature dish tasteful was the Fried Chicken Pancake. All the other dishes were equally appetising. Michael did well in service.

Came here for brunch with a friend on Sunday morning. We had made a reservation prior as we always do and were surprised to see that the booking system wasn't in use despite receiving multiple emails reminding me of my booking until the day before. My friend arrived first and was told that she could go for any free 2-people table she could see and she was confused since we had made a booking. When I arrived I confronted the waiter who was taken back by my question and suggested we be seated at a table inside.We went with the eggs Florentine with spinach and the American pancakes with crushed berries and maple syrup butter. To be very honest the food was absolutely average. Photos looked a lot better than how they actually tasted. The pancakes were supposed to be their signature dish and to be fair they were fluffy but nothing outstanding. The amount of crushed berries given was also kind of little considering the size of the pancakes so it was a little dry to eat through them even with the maple syrup butter on the side. Eggs Florentine was very mediocre also, the muffins were quite dry although the hollandaise had a surprisingly nice garlic taste to it which upped the flavour profile a little. Americano was alright, did like that it came at a large size.Despite the initial encounter with the booking our waiter tried very hard to make our experience at the restaurant as best as he could so kudos to him - hence a 4-star instead of 3. But still, it's definitely not a place I would come back ever again. There are so many much better brunch places in East London for a lower price.

It was the perfect weather for us to sit in Balans' outdoor seating and enjoy a delectable brunch. I ordered an eggs royale while my partner ordered some fried chicken. The smoked salmon was flavourful and the English muffins were nicely textured. However, the poached eggs were slightly overcooked.Overall, a good spot for a quick brunch in the middle of a shopping spree at Westfield, especially when the weather's sunny!

Recommended by our son.Lovely breakfast after a late night in London. Good portion size, although some sauce for the potatoes would’ve been lovely!Service was extremely polite and efficient. Not too pricey either considering they’re in Westfield.

Without doubt my favourite place for breakfast.The options on the menu are alot more satisfying than most places.But for me I never change my mind, I always want the steak and eggs. Healthy, high protein, good quality produce.Always leave happy!
