Strange how Google maps depicts it as almost joined up, it's not, it's 4 distinctly separate lakes and the old syndicate lake (above the specimen lake) is definitely the smallest. The 'toilet' facilities other reviewers are complaining about is an old portaloo" in the car park that last got emptied god knows when. Avoid unless you have a strong stomach and a suitable gas mask. There are plenty of bushes/trees to pee behind anyway.As for the frequent trains someone else was moaning about

Great ponds to fish. Get in the margins on the specimen lake (everyone always fishes the island)Best place for surface fishing ask the surface king himself who’s regularly down there.

Super little fishing lakes, plenty of good stock, friendly owners and decent day/night fishing prices. Quite laid back and in beautiful surroundings

Nice lakes but very overgrown, with poor pegs. Definitely need a bank rest as the ground is basically 1 inch soil and grass then solid. Maybe 1/10 of the pegs are usable.

Used to love this place but it's lost its style. Can't use tents it's a joke. It's a shame Brian passed away he knew what he was doing.
