Hall Tower Hill
Remnants of an old motte and bailey castle, used also during the Second World War as a lookout post for enemy aircraft. Today, the site is a field with a hill and lots of steps to the top (no hand rail, for those who may need one). Lovely views of the local area from the top, and an information board at the top.

Hall Tower Hill
It's an ancient earth work so interesting and there are board to read as well. We walk out did there but watch out if yours is an escape artist there are some holes in the fences.

Hall Tower Hill
A beautiful Barwick landmark, used in the iron age as a Norman motte and bailey castle and then in the second world war a observation post. Now its used for maypole celebration and for children of barwick-in-elmet primary school.
