I first got in touch with Chris during the height of the lockdown to try and get advice on a suspected snapped belt on our ride on. Due to the restrictions he couldn't bring it in but after carefully listening to the problem he was more than helpful with giving diagnostic steps. His advice was correct, it hadn't snapped but came loose and his instructions helped me identify and fix the problem. I got back in touch with Chris a few weeks later to talk to him about my current machinery and how it just wasn't up to to the job. Less than a year old, I was missold at Oakley's and left with a machine that couldn't cope. Chris' expert opinion guided me through all the options capable of the task and took multiple factors into account. A few weeks later we put in our order. He was the perfect salesman, very informative and knowledgeable and not pushy in the slightest. He kept in touch during the delivery process as there was a delay due to the factory getting through backorders. When it was ready to arrive he arranged and date and brought it over fueled up and a comprehensive demo. The product is perfect for our needs and has made a previously long and unenjoyable job so much fun! Thank you so much Chris for all of your help, we will certainly be back for all of our garden machinery needs. We will also be taking advantage of the servicing to keep our machines in top working order!

I bought an Ego lawnmower online, during lockdown in March 2020. The battery proved to be faulty and I was given contact details for three businesses near me who would be able to inspect and replace the battery, if necessary, under the Ego warranty. The business nearest to me were dismissive and unwilling to help, going so far as to say that batteries don't come with warranties and, even if they did, they weren't interested.. So I phoned Chris at Brookside Garden Machine Centre with some trepidation, but his response couldn't have been more different. He asked me to bring the battery in, he tested it and confirmed it was faulty, and he got me a replacement within 3 working days. Friendly, efficient and professional service which I'm delighted to recommend - I'll be going back there for any future purchases,.

I am very happy with the new Toro. I like the range of cuts that means I can cut even when quite long. Quiet, so no more ear defenders required. Occasionally the blades don’t engage first time but that could be me. Easy to clean underneath without having to tip up the whole machine. Charging is easy, I just need to get used to running the charge down and charging overnight.So all in all Toro terrific.

Brilliant service and advice when shopping for my first ever cordless mower. Left with a new Ego and just used for the first time - three lawns that used to take over half an hour all done in fifteen minutes with charge to spare. No more wrestling with my ancient and worn out out old petrol mower - this thing is a joy to use and gives s great finish.
