Excellent place for book lovers. Great collection, superb atmosphere and excellent café...

This was a very nice environment we started of our day by buying a queen vic and lemon drizzle cake with 2 hot chocolates one with cream and marshmallows, this we established with buying the food and drinks was that the price wasn’t well stated as the hot chocolate was £3.20 with an added pound for cream and marshmallows which is extortionate for cream and marshmallow, this was not a problem but the staff did not say that it would be more expensive with cream or marshmallows and in this time of inflation this is ridiculous as the price should have been stated and with the price of the chocolate they were DISGUSTING. It tasted like coffee and I personally don’t like coffee my friend ruby Scott had to mix the cream in to it to make it drinkable that’s just upsetting I will say though that the cakes was amazing but there was a lack of gluten free options for people who have gluten free food and when looking around the building the cafe is in the same area as the children books are and on the wall there is a cat with a gun on. I think this is extremely inappropriate in the children books area and should be placed somewhere more appropriate like in the adult book section. The staff where on the whole okay there where some rude staff which I did not appreciate but they were not all terrible I wouldn’t recommend the hot chocolate but on the whole it was a good experience but I don’t think I’ll be getting the hot chocolate again thank you

Went there last week to buy a gift but brought the family back for a nice morning of choosing a bedtime book to read and drinks and cake. Massive place with lots to choose from.Pay them a visit it's well worth it

The cafe in Waterstones is always my highlight anytime I visit Waterstones. It’s definitely a good idea to grab a coffee/ hot chocolate while you relax and read/study.

Staff here are super nice and helpful. They always have great deals on. Always have amazing displays on the front windows. Not the biggest Waterstones but still has everything you need and they’re happy to order in books they don’t have for you!

A lovely selection of books took my friend there for her Christmas present to choose and I got a blue light card discount in Leeds so if you have a blue light card show at the till.

Great sized store just opposite the NCP car park for The Core, multiple floors with a wide selection of books in all genres, including one of the larger sci-fi/fantasy sections that I have seen in a general bookstore.Friendly staff willing to go above and beyond to help you find a book and there is even a cafe on the upper floor where you can get a coffee and jump straight into your new read.

Large store where you could happily browse for hours, with something for everyone. A hundred times better than surfing on Amazon. Use book stores or lose them!

Visited their cafe on the first floor. Hadn't been for years. Pleasantly surprised by the food, coffee, staff service and plenty of space to sit for a busy weekday lunchtime in late Nov. Will definitely revisit. Unfortunately didn't find the book I was looking for.

Lack of gluten free options and often have to bring my own food to cafes as coeliac is quite difficult. Went to eat my food and got told I wasn’t allowed to eat it in the cafe despite having bought drinks and asking if they had any gluten free options( so they were already aware of the situation). It was only a sandwich so don’t really understand the issue
