Bonlea Sheds

If there's anything worse than zero I'll give. Completely changed price from what was quoted I over the phone and sounded a bit fraudulent trying to justify the price increase. Just a complete rip off.

Ordered a shed off Bonlea last year. 6m x 4m. It's a club hut for the archery club. Great hut, so far lasted perfectly through the wettest winter I can remember and straight into the driest summer. Wood still seems in perfect condition. We were so pleased with it that we ordered another shed for catering. This time 3m x 3m. It was installed by the same friendly team only today. Looks as good as the first. A builder friend said he wouldn't have even been able to buy the materials for the price we got the sheds, and he said they were really well constructed. Would certainly recommend!

Worst company I have ever dealt with. They are abusive, vindictive and absolutely untrustworthy in my experience.We bought a Summer House to use as a gym, and specified clearly an internal height of 8 Feet, so that gym equipment could be used inside.When the building arrived it contained roof trusses that are only 6 Feet off the floor, which makes the usabe head room 6 feet - that's lower than an internal door in a normal house! As the trusses are spaced 3 ft apart, and run the whole width of the building, the entire space is useless for the intended purpose.In addition, the building was placed by Bon Lea at an angle on the square base which we had created specifically for it, so one corner of the building hangs over the base by 3 inches. As the base is over 1 foot longer and wider than the building footprint, there was no reason to have any of it hanging over the base at all.The windows have no been sealed against weather, so when it rains, water runs down the inside of the walls. This has started to rot the wood and warp it, and because the wood isn't tanalised as it should have been for an outdoor building, it won't last two years unless this is put right.The door, which was a64/40 split two part door, fell apart within 6 months because Bon Lea cut the lock into the bottom section's main support section. Because of the section they removed, the door was weakened and simply fell apart when water penetrated the wood, again because it wasn't treated when supplied. If the lock had been correctly cut into the framing wood, this wouldn't have happened.When I phoned Bon Lea and requested help resolving the problems I was told to 'F*** off and stop being a moaning c***'. This was without provocation... I simply phoned and asked for help and was immediately given a stream of abuse by the woman who owns the place.When I contacted Bon Lea by email (didn't want a stream of abuse again on the phone) she replied with an equally abusive email and told me to take them to court if I wanted anything from them and that they would not do anything for me.It seems that as soon as you pay this company, they want nothing more to do with you. I wouldn't have trusted them to do a good job even if they had come back, so I'm stuck with a 14ft x 13ft 'shed' that's built from normal, untreated wood, which is unsuitable for outside use as it's not treated in any way; it has roof that makes the interior too low to use for anything useful and windows that allow water to run in. I've had to replace the door at my own cost as it was useless - this cost an additional £150. I was told by the joiner ( a professional) that the roof has been incorrectly constructed for the type of building I have and that the door frame was inadequate for such a heavy door... He's has to replace that too.Summary: Bon Lea had £2500 from me for a summer house, and supplied nothing of the sort. They've been nothing but abusive and refused to correct their mistakes. It got to the point that I had to get cameras installed at my home and around the property simply because don't trust what they will do next.Do yourself a favour and stay well away from these people. They cannot to support their own work after they job is done and offer no warranty on their sheds and buildings; they don't use the proper, probably to save money, which means their products won't last more than a couple of years in our weather anyway.Go elsewhere.

I have just taken delivery of a 6x3 tool shed from Bon Lea sheds and couldn't be more impressed with the quality of construction and the materials used. The after sales service was first class with the shed being delivered and erected over a week ahead of the agreed schedule! I will certainly use this company again and have not the slightest hesitation in recommending their service to others. Overall an outstanding service.

Great service and fantastic shed and log store!

Terrible workmanship.Left a gap under the door which should be fitted with a panel so rain/pests/vermin can't get in. Misfitting panels. Paid them to paint it and they left gaps in the paint. Big gaps in the joints of the shed also. Screws not fitted correctly, total rush job.
