St James' Church

A lovely little church

Stopped off here on 12th June 2021 as we were passing through the area .Only other person in the grounds was the lady cutting the grass .We walked around the grounds looked at some of the grave stones dating them .Looked inside the Church the sun was shining through the stained window which looked beautiful .In the grounds next to the Church there is an old building built in 1615 .a stone had been built into it stating these hospitals had been repaired in 1811.I am thinking that this building back then had a different meaning to hospital ? .Well worth stopping here for an hour especially when its sunny .

Only live around the corner but never visited and what an incredible church it is especially when it was the church that Richard the 3rd prayed in before the battle! A must to visit if your in the area following the battle of bosworth! Such a beautiful location as well with so much history! Thank you for whoever looks after this lovely church we owe you so much!
