Purton Lower Bridge
Great walk along the canal on one side and the river Severn on the other.Beautiful little village. Some historic things to see on the route to Sharpness. Like the Hulks (barges that were run aground).

Purton Lower Bridge
This is a lovely place to visit, to walk and unwind or just sit on a bench and watch the world go by. There is very little parking and don't think driving on the bridge and carrying onwards past the small spaces can turn as it's difficult to and people's driveways etc. Plenty of information boards on the ships that have come to rest here. To access the ships take the little paths off the main path

Purton Lower Bridge
Busier automated swing bridge than the upper bridge, but just as a tranquil and beautiful setting, watching the passing boats and canal wildlife. Lovely canal walks either direction, this bridge being only a short walk away from the Purton Ship Graveyard.

Free parking our vist to the ships graveyard and sharpness great day out expect to get muddy.

Beautiful day with my partners family to visit the boat graveyard on the estuary. Gorgeous views. A lovely walk between the canal and severn on a lovely sunny day. Could have done with a public toilet nearby as its a bit of a way to walk. If you like walking it's an ideal place.
