The Junction at Blackpill Prom Open Space

I stopped off at The Junction during a walk from Mumbles back home to the Marina.There was a couple of customers and the owner who was very welcoming and very friendly.It was late in the day so they’d sold out of panini’s (a return trip is needed) so I only had a coffee.The staff were very friendly and efficient, the coffee tasted amazing and the surroundings are beautiful. It is a great space to relax, have a coffee and read a book.The Junction is the oldest train station in the world! So coffee in a very historic building is a cool place to come and support a local independent business!

Location has its pros and cons as it's backed onto the popular Blackpill children's lido, which gets very busy/crowded during the summer.It's great for cyclists to stop & take a pugh as it's accessible to bicycles, etc. However, car parking can be regularly an issue there. It's right next to the busy Mumbles road and a petrol garage. There's no on-site parking for this cafe.It's just off the seafront promenade, which goes from Mumbles Pier to Swansea Marina/Docks seafront. Mumbles & Gower are 5-20 mins away in the car, which are popular tourist destinations. The cafe is very close to lots of lovely places to visit; such as The Woodman pub across the road, Clyne Gardens, Clyne cycle path & valley all in walking distance. A fab place to grab a hot beverage & chill.
