A rather eventful stay at the railway carriage... arrived at 7pm to be told that the railway carriage had been double booked. At this point we were extremely disappointed as we had travelled 3 hours from Kent. Firstly, we were offered an alternative stay in a caravan (advertised as a lodge as it has wood nailed to it) which wasn’t exactly a like for like alternative and it smelt! We opted to visit a nearby pub to decide what to do for the remainder of our 3 night stay.Positively, when we arrived back at 11pm we were told that the railway carriage is now available and that there had been a mistake in the booking process. We had to wait a further 30 minutes for the carriage to be cleaned etc. By the time we transferred all of our bags and cleaning was complete we were left alone just before midnight. Insultingly, we were offered a £25 discount for the ‘mess up’. Clearly I was not happy with this and I only offered to pay for 2 nights as quite honestly our first night had been completely ruined.Nevertheless, the railway carriage itself was beautiful, well thought out and clean (minus a splattering of cobwebs in the carriage which should have been cleared before). Furthermore, it would have been nice if the fire pit was cleared before our arrival as it was full with ash. The carriage is in a great location for visits into the Cotswolds, which is a truly stunning place. I must also mention that the parents of the host were extremely sympathetic/apologetic regarding the ‘mess up’ and also offered us free drinks while they attempted to resolve the issue with the host and ourselves as the host was away at the point .

Friendly hosts, beautifully thought out accommodation and great location close to the M4. Highly recommended.

Dogs loved it! With having a dog who is a runner, this was perfect! Great price too

Quite unprepared for this, an enclosed paddock with doggy fun as its aim. Everything is there plus a shelter for the humans as well as a picnic table, which is also for the humans. Booked on line there are no complicated interactions with other pets and their humans.
