Mac and Wild at Falls of Shin

Visited Mac & Wild at The Falls of Shin, all food is locally sourced, and if you are visiting you must try there Veni Moo burger, it's absolutely gorgeous, we ordered upon entry and then found a table, service was quick and with a smile.The restaurant itself is open and airy and very clean.An excellent welcome from the staff.The prices reasonable, and is pretty much what you would expect.

Expensive (£2 for a carton of apple juice or a can of cola) however the place and scenery is beautiful and there is a little park outside for the kids which mine absolutely loved.

Love this place so much!!! Excellent location.So many activities available for kids and families, forest walks, salmon watching etc. Staff are the friendliest people. Always welcoming and friendly. Food is of the best quality. Burgers are simply delicious!!! Cheese boards are absolutely gorgeous!Every single dish we tried was delicious!! Local products also available on the little shop :)

Pleasant surprise to be had at the falls of shin. The food at Mac & wild was excellent, the venison open sandwich was fantastic, and they make a good coffee which is hard ti find up these parts. It's certainly worth a detour.

Great place in the heart of the Highlands. Good #vegan options on the menu and a wide variety of foods and drinks. Children eat for free and dogs are allowed in.They have a nice sitting area near a wood burner in the restaurant. Furthermore, the restaurant is located near good woodland walks and the Falls of Shin.Carpark has charging point for electric cars.There is a decent playground next to the restaurant, with swings, slides, climbing castle... Overall a great place to come for an afternoon or evening.

Service really let this place down and really didn't meet our expectations. Our table booked for 2pm had our reservation on it but hadn't been wiped, only one menu and no cutlerly. Staff were all unenthusiastic and gave off a vibe they couldn't be bothered. When I ordered food I asked if our table could be wiped. It wasn't and I asked again, it still wasn't. When our food was taken out, wasn't asked if we needed any sauce etc and I had to go up to counter (and wait) to get cutlery. It was then plonked down on our table. Most tables went uncleared after people left, we had to move plates after main course to another table before our deserts came. Food debris on floor under tables. Really expected better. Food was good but lack of attention to detail and staff attitude would put us off returning.

This place is absolutely stunning. The food is outstanding and showcases the best of Scottish produce. The staff are very friendly and efficient. Breakfast menu from 10-12 is limited but very nice.

Great food at really good prices. Such a lovely spot, we will definitely be back!
