Elly's support, (through her online meet ups run throughout lockdown), have been a really important support to me after having my first baby in April. She's so knowledgeable, kind and great at offering advice and signposting to other services and information. I'd definitely recommend Elly to anyone looking for doula support with pregnancy or birth.

As new parents without nearby family support, we were overwhelmed with the challenges of adjusting to parenthood. My husband and I did a bespoke short hypnobirthing course over Zoom with Elly while I was pregnant with my first baby. She is amazing and really helped us feel more prepared for the birth. She has been really supportive more generally as well - before the birth and since. I highly recommend her to anyone who would like to feel that support during pregnancy and beyond!

Elly is a wonderful doula and helped me and my husband with a couple of pre-birth sessions at our home. She is a great listener, compassionate, very knowledgeable and non-judgmental. She targeted her advice to us as a couple and gave us useful tools to draw on during labour. Overall we felt more relaxed and empowered. I definitely recommend Elly!

We arranged Hypnobirthing sessions at our home with Elly - it was the best preparation I could have done ahead of giving birth. It was so nice she came to our house in a relaxed setting. Elly is an amazing teacher, so calm, empowering and knowledgeable on this subject. She provided me with a great deal of support, breathing techniques and confidence. Elly was a legend, so happy we had her on our side during my pregnancy and the birth. She made us feel confident, empowered and excited about the birth of our first child. Highly recommend Elly for all doula/hypnobirthing services. She supported me before, during and after labour and then also helped me postpartum when I was totally burnt out. Elly has a lovely calm, reassuring energy and was amazing at advocating my wishes during labour.

I feel very fortunate to have found Elly (The Stokey Doula) while pregnant with my second baby during the first lockdown. Her weekly zoom call for expecting and new mums was a tremendous support in a time where so much care felt lacking. I highly recommend Elly if you are looking for some prenatal/ postnatal support. I had the luck to meet her (virtually) while I was pregnant during the lockdown and it was a great help, she is also lovely, kind and very positive.

My original motivation for hiring a doula was to ensure I had a birth partner if my husband had to stay at home with our 3 year old daughter. What Elly gave me, even just in the run up to the birth of my baby was so much more. She helped me recognise that I had a greater deal of control over the kind of birth I wanted than I previously thought and through her help and guidance I was able to prepare myself much more proactively for a conscious and calm birth.Then came the birth itself, and after my waters broke, my labour speeded up so fast that I wasn’t able to make it to hospital on time. Without Elly this experience would have been so much more stressful. She calmly took control of the situation, letting my husband know what we’d need, guiding me through my contractions and in the end delivering my baby with the paramedics on standby. Ultimately, although unexpected I ended up having exactly the birth I would’ve wanted and I simply couldn’t have done it without Elly. I am so grateful to her!
