Good arcade, would've game it 5 stars if I was better at the games, especially the claw machines

Lovely Arcade but today my kid cried because he couldn't get a german Shepard plush. (His dog died and it was a german Shepard) I'd like to say that me or my son didn't enjoy our experiences today.

good place but staff is little bit slow and I wish they have spinaball for my son which he really want to play on it

Taken my brother today for his birthday which he really enjoyed himself until we went to the counter with the tickets he’d won the lady who was middle aged with white hair, I didn’t have time to look at her name tag was very rude she was putting away a order and told him to be quick because “she was busy” which I let slip, then he spotted the 6D cinema outside where there was no staff operating it there was a sign telling us to ask for assistance at the counter so I went back in and kindly asked the lady is there a member of staff to assist us with the ride outside ? Which she then replied “there is but there all in a meeting and I’m on my own and have this order to put away “ ....which I then said it’s his birthday and he wanted a go on it ..then I told her it didn’t matter and we left the premises I understand it gets busy as I work in retail myself but this is a kids “fun station” and clearly she’s in the wrong job she was quite old with white hair apart from that we had a lovely time.

This funstation at castleford is great, I visit here often as they change the games to keep things interesting, the staff are very helpful and if you have any problems you can sort it with them through their email on the website, hands down one of the best arcades I’ve been to and highly recommend it.Can’t wait for the next visit!

Fun station? The only fun i'm going to have Is writing this review. OK so me and the wife just finished watching a movie. We were in a bit of a rush but hey who hasn't got time for a quick game of air hockey, right? Boy, what that a bad decision. We rush in to find an air hockey table to quickly put our quid in...but oh, one is occupied and one is out of order. Standard for these sorts of places. Didn't take long for the other one to free up. So I go to put my quid in, but theres no hole for the money. Am I seeing this right? There's some kind of ticketing system in order to play games? Call me naiive but i'd never heard of this before. So off my wife went to pay for some credits. I gave her £3 for 3 games whilst I watched our bags. How presumptuous of me! £1.20 per game. If you ask me that's just greedy. Brexit-fear Inflation has hit the arcades hard this year apparently. So we settle for 1 game because even though its only 60p more in my mind its just an awkward amount. So we get a card with enough credits on. Let the game commence! Not only was it one of those curved ones that doesn't work properly, the disc kept hitting the perspex guard and stopping presumably to inadequate airflow and worst of all, the disc whackers were attached to pieces of rope that not only made your arm recoil mid-hit, not being able to reach far enough, but laid on the surface blocking shots going in the goal! Someones idea of preserving company property had turned into some kind of sick joke, making us feel like we were in a 'Saw' movie or something. Needless to say, after 2 goals we decided to call it a day and as we chuckled at the absurdity of it all on the way out, my wife told me to remember to DEFINITELY leave a review!

I had an absolute blast with my friends at this arcade, where there is a wide variety of games, including down the clown and replica bowling! The virtual screen on the bowling after your ball has gone down the lane is epic and on the clown one, it suitably changes which are lit up after you throw balls. Our card worked efficiently for usage here, don't get some of the negative reviews!

Being going here for years but now I won't be spending my hard earned cash here again, the manager or supervisor which ever she was needs to learn what customer service is, as the last time I went in she was very full of herself, but on the plus the rest of the staff are lovely.

Funstation Castleford is by far the best arcade to go to. There is a great choice of arcade machines inside, all of the best games that you would ever want. This includes video games, prize and ticket reception games, unlike most other arcades which are mostly pushers and fruit machines. This is not the case here. The selection of prizes behind the counter is by far the best (including iPads, Nintendo Switch and other good quality items). What I like the best about this arcade is that most of the games are skill based and don't heavily rely on set payout rates like in most other arcades. All you need to do is find your favourite game, get good skilled at it and then you can be in for winning some great jackpots. My best games are Crossy Road and Quik Drop. Yours may be Let's Bounce, Milk Jug Toss, Gold Fishin', who knows?I would also like to mention that all of the machines are in excellent condition and the staff are very helpful. I once had an issue where the button kept getting stuck on the Key Master game. Told the manager that day, who refunded me the 4 points back onto my card and let the technician know about the issue. The next time I went back, the button was fixed and the machine works fine ever since. This is great service which you wouldn't encounter in any other arcade.I would most certainly recommend visiting Funstation Castleford on your next visit to Xscape Yorkshire for all age groups (hence my 5 star rating).
