Lovely place with brilliant service. Plenty of games and lovely food, really worth the price. Bathroom was super clean and even had both a feminine care and general hygiene box to use if needed. Would go again :)

Amazing place! We spent a few hours here, got food and a drink each and the total was around £20 for the 2 of us. Really great value for money. There were plenty of games to choose from and the cooked food was a bonus (been to other boardgame cafes which only do cold snacks). The staff are really friendly too.

an incredible place to spend hours in!! Homemade cakes are divine, meals are scrumptious and delicious coolers for this hot weather!! The game selection is crazy, I never know what to play and go through multiple in one sitting. There are games for sale as well so you can take home a favourite!! staff is super kind and friendly!! Dogs visiting at times are always a heartwarming experience. And you get a loyalty card!!!!! I go with friends or by myself for a study sess when it’s quiet!! Overall 11/10, love it always.

Cosy little board game cafe with the most relaxing atmosphere ever. Low level background music is great.Staff are super friendly and happy to help players understand the rules of whatever game they're playing.Great range of freshly made food and drinks available (soft drinks, hot drinks, alcoholic drinks too!).I highly recommend this place, and advise booking in advance to secure a place!

Really nice little place for spending a few hours playing games and enjoying food and drink. Very relaxed atmosphere. Great service and helpful when deciding which games to play. There are LOADS of games to choose from. We were in Liverpool for a long weekend and visited here 3 times as it was so nice.

Such a lovely place to while away a few hours. We usually go with our kids and have a great time. So many games to choose from, there will be something to suit everyone. The staff are so friendly and helpful and always good options for snacks and drinks. One of our favourite places to visit in Liverpool!

I absolutely love board games and so I was very keen to visit this place. I’ve never been to anything like it. It’s £2.50/hour per person which gives you access to all the games which I thought was reasonable. They have over 500 games to choose from which was way more than I expected. The service was pretty good. The cafe has a variety of food and drinks to choose from. You can get hot meals, sweet treats, sandwiches, snacks etc. I went with a blood orange tea which was not bad. My wife got a biscoff milkshake which she enjoyed. For food I got a cranberry, bacon and brie toastie and a slice of the recommended vegan chocolate cake. The toastie was ok. I felt it could have done with more cranberry. The chocolate cake was very nice. It was very soft delicate. My wife got a chocolate fudge brownie which was also tasty. The service was a little slow but we didn’t mind as we were busy playing a game. Plus there was only 1 person working so we weren’t expecting quick service. He was friendly though. The board game we decided to play was bears vs babies. The game was quite fun but not a game I’d probably choose to play again as I can imagine it becoming quite repetitive and boring after a while.I love the concept of this cafe and I wish there were more out there. I love the idea of having my own board game cafe so this was experience was in someways inspiring.

Sugar and Dice Board Game Café
We arrived without a booking, but the staff were brilliant. As we were only visiting Liverpool they found a way to accommodate us. We had delicious cake, toasties, teas and coffee. There's a very reasonable £2 per head per hour cover charge, but considering the selection of games this is amazing value. This was amazing fun!
