The Seven Stars
We were disappointed not to be able to take our dog into the restaurant area where we have taken her before. Additionally there was already a dog in this area. Ours was banished to the boot of the car.The 7 stars says it is dog friendly. It would appear only partially so.We could have ate in the pub area but our friends were already ensconced on a nice table by a window in the restaurant area.

This pub was much bigger than I expected. Big car park to match. Greeting was well organised and efficient. Staff very helpful. Nice and airy inside. Food arrived in good time and portions were very adequate. Prices were reasonable. I had the ploughman’s lunch which was excellent.

Apart from the gravy being a tad runny for my liking the food was fantastic. Service was great too, however would have preferred one server as opposed to several. Definitely recommend and will be returning.

Great experience for our first visit. Friendly and welcoming staff, good menu and food served really quickly. Food was great, cooked and presented well. Very tasty. Thank you all for a good lunch time experience.

Came on a rainy Sunday at a busy time but found the food and service was very good! Although ran out of beef... the pork was as good! Been here 3 times now and found the atmosphere is very chilled/ enjoyable. Dog freindly And oh character Inside too!

Great out of the way pub! Have used this pub for drinks and meals on the way home on many occasions. Always had a nice time here and its still got a great country atmosphere. Good place for a beer and to keep the good memories we have had going there in the past too. Would definitely recommend this pub for drinks and food.

Always been a favourite for years, but the menu is now much more limited than it used to be and the place seems to lack atmosphere now. Service was a little lacking too. The food is nice enough and good value for money

Always a great place to stop for lunch, we often pop in on our way to our son's as it is situated on the A272 just outside of Petersfield.There is an excellent choice of beautiful food and the ambiance great.The staff are always friendly and helpful and we're always made welcome.Well worth a visit.

I stopped here on my way home, what a mistake that was, I ordered a pint of ale, which wasn't good, but the choise was so poor that I suffered it, but didn't finish it, I also ordered the fish pie (pastry) and vegetables, it came out in about 3 minutes which I was quite shocked by, I very soon realised how they achieved this, the pie was rock solid and the vegetables had obviously been kept warm for hours as they were flavourless, limp and inedible!This was possibly the worst pub meal I've ever had, I didn't even get the chance to tell the staff as nobody came to my table to ask if everything was OK and they make you pay first.I will never return to this soulless, poor excuse for a pub, it is horrible!
