Ballroom Emporium

A brilliant experience at the Ballroom Emporium when shopping for my daughter's prom dress. The stylist, seamstress and manager all took care to ensure that she had the dress that was perfectly right for her, including making detailed alterations to fit the dress exactly to her shape and height. Couldn't have asked for a better or kinder experience. Thank you ❤️

I had a great experience in Oxford Ballroom Emporium partly because of India, my personal stylist for the day. India passionately helped me without any compromises, and considered all the things I asked for. She has a great eye for choosing perfect dresses, knows her stuff, is very insightful, friendly and patient. Her experience shows and she is very driven. The store has the best quality dresses and I will definitely return especially because of this great experience with India.

An absolute delight of a place. Really lovely & helpful staff. Incredible choice of period outfits & suits for most balls & period events. I had some badges sewn on very professionally to some vintage overalls & a flying jacket I bought from them at Goodwood Revival. Super business great people, not expensive & loads of choice for 50’s & 60’s stuff

Everyone at the Ballroom Emporium was wonderful, all incredibly helpful and had a wealth of knowledge. I went in a fluster needing a (very!) last minute dress and the fantastic Susanne found me the perfect one. Sylvia their seamstress hemmed the dress for me, too, ready to be collected that evening. A little on the pricey side, but it’s a lovely small business who provided a faultless service. Would absolutely recommend.

29/06/23I hadn't visited this amazing place in quite a while until today.It was so lovely to be remembered and greeted by familiar faces too! I also had the pleasure of meeting new members of staff who were extremely friendly and enthusiastic in what they do.Their knowledge of the Vintage fashion, accessories, available stock and advice was very impressive and reassuring. Particularly when it came to choosing sizes, measurements, alternative options colours and designs.An absolutely credit to the business.With my deadline looming for an event and especially at their peak time of the year what with College Balls, Graduations and special annual occasions, it was pot luck as to what was left to choose from.However panic was averted when my assigned Assistant reassured me she could make the necessary alterations to my own full length sequin dress in just a couple of days!I was absolutely thrilled at the suggestion and the inexpensive upfront cost involved.There is a very flexible option to buy or hire many lines of clothing that cater for every festive celebration all year round.It's impossible to ignore the bargain sale rails and baskets outside where you can usually find a unique and one off piece to enhance your wardrobe too.I always look forward to visiting Belinda, Suzanne and the team and highly recommend you do the same!

This shop is such a diamond. I discovered it a few years ago and try to go whenever I am in Oxford. It has such an eclectic mix of clothing and jewelry and at very affordable prices. The owner is lovely and the employees are super friendly and extremely helpful. I would highly recommend this shop to everyone!
