Northway Climbing Centre

A spectacular place to boulder and climb.The staff are SO incredibly friendly, supportive, helpful and welcoming.Great routes that are updated at good times so there is always something fresh.The atmosphere and vibe is great, everyone is so friendly and chill.

My 4 yo son and I have been here twice now, both times he we had a great time. The staff are friendly and very welcoming and they support with guidance if needed. We'll worth a isit for few hours activities if you're feeling energetic.

from a newbies perspective, great center. friendly staff, some easy beginner routes to get a taste of it! I feel the first few grades (still a beginner) are close together, with some overlap on difficulty. I enjoy this, as it challenges you without making you feel unsuccessful.good safety rules, and hygiene rules.

Can’t rate this place highly enough! Friendly, welcoming and most of all inclusive. It’s been life changing for my autistic son who loves his 1:1 sessions with Rob and the team. Over just a few months I’ve watched his confidence and independence grow and his climbing skills flourish. Plus always awesome music playing. A brilliant find!

This place is great for all ages, I took my 5 year old, 11 year old and climbed myself. We had a great time and spent around two hours here. There is a football table which my boys enjoyed and there's also a slide down from one of the climbs which my 5 year old loved and it was big enough for all of us to fit down! Parking is free and plenty of it and they also are more than happy to fill water bottles up when needed. They sell a few snacks, not a massive variety but my boys were happy with an ice-cream and I didn't try any but the homemade flapjack looked good. All staff were friendly and helpful.

My youngest daughter has just completed her level 1 NICAS training at Northway Climbing Centre and has gained so much confidence under the expert and friendly tuition of Rob that she is now going for level two. My daughter has mild autism, so for her, being able to bond" with an instructor is vital to her learning.Northway put me through my belay course with same friendly and knowledgeable instruction so that I could assist my daughter and enjoy a new sport together. I cannot recommend highly enough this centre for its staff and willingness to help make the sport a fun

Have been a few times with the children and it's always a pleasure. My children are learning more about etiquette every time we climb. It's easy because everyone else is friendly and being great role models for my them. Good etiquette and great atmosphere.

Finally checked out the new centre this morning and after a clear and detailed introduction by staff we got to the wall face. 90 minutes later tired and sore limbs but great fun and lots of challenging routes to climb. Great for all ages and abilities will be back soon.
