A favourite go-to place for snack meals or afternoon tea whenin Bournville. Being surrounded by trees, plants, and shrubs soothes the soul. Why not try it? And maybe buy a plant or two to enhance your home? Enjoy. Tony

Pros: local, cheap/ reasonably priced, brilliant selection, knowledgeable staff especially about carnivore plants, nice layout fits a lot into a small spaceCons: angled small car parking spaces that everyone seems to poke out of making leaving through the one way system difficult.5* cause the only issue can’t really be solved it’s users not the space size

It's the loveliest garden centre I've ever been to, with an amazing array of well looked after, healthy plants, both for indoors and out. Whatever Monty and Adam et al. talk about, they've got it! In addition, there are plenty of other, useful or beautiful things to buy for home and garden, as well as a chilled café, with a good selection of savoury and sweet food and drinks to choose from. To top it all, the location in a quiet road in leafy, chocolate box Bournville, makes a trip to this garden centre a lovely and relaxing day out.

This franchise of a garden centre must invest in sending their staff on customer service training because they do not care for helping customers. Most staff are very unapproachable and never smile which most likely means they despise their jobs, do not want to be there and can't seem to tolerate any customer interactions. They have outdated POS systems which they do not seem to know how to use, it would be good to update this so that customers can be sent their receipts digitally. I have had 3 very rude interactions with a manager and a few staff member's at the till. The manager makes demands and moans at his staff whilst serving you at the till which I found unprofessional. He was unable to give me any eye contact or smile or a welcome and thank you. He looked stressed and fed up. Most of the staff hide behind filling up stock and make themselves unavailable to help. Once you get someone's attention they seem in a rush to walk away. Good luck trying to find anyone to help you. A lady with brown thinning hair on the till was incredibly horrible and gave me stern looks and talked down to me instead of helping with my query and has made me not want to go back and shop there. It is a shame that I have spent hundreds of pounds here, but I am still treated as if I stole something off the shelves. Going forward, I will find an alternative place to go as this company does not deserve any more of my money. I feel disappointed at the low level of customer service. They are usually out of stock for most items and are overpriced or do not have a price at all. The layout is cluttered and it is difficult to walk down and around some aisles due to over stocking on bulky items. It is not wheelchair or pushchair friendly. Please address these issues within your store because the reputation is in the gutter. The outdoor and indoor areas need a complete redesign because it is hard to find what you are looking for due to dumping of random stock which hace no labels. The aisles are too jam packed to browse comfortably. There is not enough arts and crafts available and some of the plants look dead and some are unhealthy.

Visited today 1st time for about 5yrs. Much improved stock & lovely cafe. Just a shame you have to have cardboard cups/plates etc if you want to sit outside.

Garden Centre excellent. Café limited choice. Would love a cooked breakfast/brunch but they don't offer it - I did ask the Manager once but he wasn't keen and said there's not enough room.. I disagree as I know cafes smaller who offer meals. So for a good menu choice go to Kafenion on Bournville Green.

This was my first visit to this Garden Centre and it certainly won't be my last!Arrived at about 11.15am and wanted something to eat in the restaurant, but unfortunately, the breakfast items finish at 11am.I chose to have some Gluten free toast and an iced Latte which were both very nice. There were quite a few other offerings, including jacket potatoes etc which all looked very nice and which I will sample next time. The shop itself has lots of lovely gifts to browse,as well as some clothing items and lots of plants and garden tools.Bought various stuff before leaving for another appointment.Wouldn't hesitate to recommend for a nice, pleasant visit. The restaurant also has outdoor seating which is a definite bonus.
