What a proper 'olde worlde' little place, so old, full of history. Only 6 rooms at the Inn and our room was so quaint and cute! There's nothing but green fields and a couple of fishing lakes attached to the property, but the food is fabulous, the staff are lovely and it's just perfect for a sunny summer night away! We will be back, absolutely adored almost everything!

Olde Worlde converted mill in a very rural location. Very charming exterior, old mill wheel, mill pond with ducks, outdoor seating. On closer inspection, it could do with some TLC. The sign on entering the spacious car park indicates 'luxurious accommodation', well no! Whilst the room was clean, there was too much clutter, the old range set in the chimney, whilst authentic was just a dust collector and there were too many nooks etc that had been over looked. Whilst realising that in old buildings space is tight, the bathroom was small, but manageable, but also the biggest let down. The shower was mouldy, the wash-hand basin had a crack in it. It needed a thorough make over.I realise that hospitality was particularly hit hard over the past 3 years, and money might be tight, but taking care of the small things can create a better feel and overall impression. On the positive, the food was great as were the breakfasts which were cooked to order. The staff were friendly and engaging.

Called in for lunch. Food is always great, staff are lovely and at a reasonable price. All in a classic setting.

Beautiful little spot at the side of a river. Food was very good. Rooms very dated and in need of a deep clean or better still, refurbishing. Drain smell and toilet smell is pungent and stomach churning. Staff were lovely and helpful.

What a fantastic inn this is. Steeped in history. The host and staff were excellent.Food was of a high standard with great service. Some have mentioned that it needs a deep clean. With raging coal fires and the history what do some expect. Visit and be part of it.
