Went in to watch the footy. Was a bit small but more room at the back for dining. We got a seat in the corner close to 2 screens. Had some lunch which was tasty and good portions. Coming from London, very pleased with the cost of drinks!! Staff very friendly. There seemed to be a lot of regulars.

I stayed here with my wife on Wednesday night.The room was very clean and the bed was comfy.The main things I wanted to review were the staff and the breakfast. All of the members of staff with whom we dealt were friendly and helpful, from when I first made our booking until the time we left on Thursday morning. We were able to arrive and check in early on Wednesday and, as we had an appointment in town on Thursday lunchtime, we were able to leave our car parked in the car park after we had checked out.Special mention must go to the breakfast, which is astoundingly good value. The breakfast was just £5 extra per person. There is a selection of cereals and toast and hot drinks and cold drinks to which you can help yourself. There are a variety of breakfast options on the menu (eg, breakfast rolls) and there is the English breakfast. The breakfast was cooked to order, arrived hot and was, quite honestly, the nicest breakfast I have had at a hotel for many a year. I have paid twice or even three times as much in some hotels for breakfasts that were not half as nice as this. Bacon, sausage, egg, tomatoes, beans, mushrooms and hash brown - all nicely cooked, all hot and none of it in those stupid little pots people put things in now (like baked beans).I hate being ripped off by anyone but I almost felt guilty at only paying £5 for the breakfast; I would happily have paid double that when I think of other breakfasts I have had.We found nothing not to like about the Marquis of Granby and if ever we are in Sleaford again we will have no hesitation in staying there.I have awarded 3 start for location" simply because it is near to the middle of town and there must be few town hotels that can boast a fabulous location. My son stayed here for one night. The room was spotless and cozy. The service and food were excellent. Free overnight parking and free WiFi. Everything he needed for an overnight stay. Five stars

If I had been in my own car, I would have found it difficult to find the parking area. I wouldvstill recommend this establishment.

Great pub, not fancy just proper..You can call in after work or on your way out for the evening it's a great mix of people in there always.Food is very good and at a reasonable price.
