Passed my theory and driving test in November first time!! My driving instructor Paul was amazing, he made me feel so comfortable, was so patient and understanding with my driving. Wouldn’t have been able to pass as quickly as I did if it wasn’t for him, he really built my confidence up.Highly recommend 5 day and would like to say a big Thankyou to Paul.

It is all a Scam to Get you to pay even moreIt is all a Lie, if i could give no stars i would. You pay all the money up front in my case £1628, Then to get told you need to pay for more lessons at the end of the course, oh and if you have a Doctors appointment that you need to attend you will get classed as not doing the course, so you will not qualify for any retest of any kind. Also she Missed only 4 hours of the whole session / Course as she was in for the 8:00am start on every day & until 12 noon on 2 of the days as the course only runs until 2pm So i.e she was in for the Full 5 days But missed only Four hours & NOT 2 Whole days, Also the Course should be an extra half hour long i.e 2:30 but they only run until 2pm so they take away 30 minutes from every day. So in reality they mis sell what is advertised as the day should run until the 2:30 that is stated in the contract.!! i should be applying for a refund as it i was mis sold this course, as advertised it should run until 2:30 but it only runs until 2pm.Biggest steal in learner driving history

Yesterday was the first day of my lesson with 5day, and it was not the start I had ever expected! My lesson was supposed to start at 2.30 pm, but my instructor was engaged with someone who had a practical test yesterday. He came to the office at 3.45 pm, and then we started. I had to wait for my instructor for one hour and 15 minutes. I was unaware of the delay, so I had to stay at their office. More importantly, there were no staff at the office, and if you left the office, you could not enter the office as no one was there to open the gate. I felt like I was caged in their office and suffocated. It also gave me a sense of insecurity as you are in a place with no one to talk to.That was not the end though, after finishing yesterday's lesson the instructor informed me that he would have to attend another examinee today as well and it would be in the middle of my lesson! He said he would cover these gaps on Friday starting earlier, but I still need to figure out how to manage my time attending this unplanned session. I scheduled everything (personal and professional matters) per the lesson timetable and agreed upon booking the place about one month ago. He cannot just change things all of a sudden!Above all, despite being a UK university graduate, I failed to understand about 90% of his instructions due to his different dialect(He claims he has a different dialect). However, I discovered that the problem was elsewhere.I requested 5day to change my instructor and resolve the timetable issues. They were not helpful in any way. They do not care about breaching the agreement on the timetable. Instead, the lady on the phone keeps threatening to cut the phone line. The most disappointing matter yesterday was that no one bothered to say Sorry" to keep me waiting for over an hour! No apology

I did my 5day course in January and had Paul as my instructor. I was really nervous having never driven before taking this course but Paul was really calm and supported my throughout the week, really increasing my confidence. I felt really prepared for my theory test at the end of the week as the theory aspect of the course is well structured and there is lots of time put aside for practice tests.I continued to have some lesson prior to my first test with Paul and he continued to give me confidence in my own driving and definitely helped after I failed my first test. I would really like to thank Paul for all his help whilst I was learning and would recommend him (and 5day) for people learning to drive.

If I could give 5 stars solely to my driving instructor John I would do but this review is for the whole course. I went for the morning session. The 'classroom learning' started at 8:00am. If I'm being honest this part of the course was a bit pointless. For 2 hours the group of us were doing mock theory tests on an app widely available on the app store via really old iPads. Paul, our teacher, was abrupt, rude and quite frankly at times unprofessional. When asking questions (you know, like you do when you're trying to learn in a classroom environment) I really was made to look like an idiot from Pauls sarcastic ''what you don't know that?! How can you NOT know that?'' There were other occasions when Paul did this to myself and others in the classroom. I think he was trying to be funny and set a lighthearted tone to the class but talking to other people on the course my feelings were mutual.Out of the Monday - Friday days, 8 hours were used on the classroom theory learning and another 2 hours on the Friday that were used to complete the actual Theory test (which I passed).Overall the learning with Paul was disappointing, bearing in mind the cash that i'd spent!! Ditch the classroom learning and spend the other 8 hours driving in an actual car! Leave the classroom theory stuff for people to get on with at home on the app! When it came to the actual driving - my instructor John was an absolute pleasure to be taught by. Calm, professional at all times, humorous, extremely knowledgeable and put me at ease from the get go. I was driving the new 71reg Peugeot 208 which was a fantastic car to be learning in.Started off slowly round a housing estate and slowly but surely as the week went on progressed onto duel carriageways, roundabouts, manoeuvres and various other aspects of driving. On the Friday we did a mock test - unfortunately I didn't pass and it was not recommend that I go for my test just yet. This is no reflection on John's teaching - more my own ability. Big up John!To sum up for people thinking about going for the 5 Day course it depends on your situation. For myself I needed to learn to drive quite quickly for a new job I had just taken on. If you want to get to a decent standard quickly an intensive driving course is for you. If you're in no particular rush just go for hourly lessons (which is what I ended up doing after the course finished with the AA driving school and passed my test within the next 2 months).I'd be interested to see what the % of people who finished the course on the Friday were actually put forward for a test. Unless you've had some form of driving experience before the course (i had non) I think it's a tall order to expect someone to get behind the wheel of a car on Monday and have expectations that you're going to put in for your test the following week. I guess it depends on the individual/experience they have already.

First time pass! Highly recommended Bristol instruction. Thank you Mo!I attended 5Day Bristol earlier this year and passed my practical test at the first attempt just last week. I completed my theory test before starting with 5Day so I cannot comment on the quality of the theory prep - this review is specifically about the practical driving instruction I received.I was paired with driving instructor Mo and could not be happier with the instruction he provided. Mo was patient and calm, always putting me at ease while I was behind the wheel. He used easy to remember techniques to embed key behaviours such as mirror checking, signalling, and manoeuvres. On the first day, I naturally made many mistakes but Mo was never frustrated or impatient - just provided the right words and encouraged me to try again. He was a pleasant, calming influence beside me throughout, and at the end of the week, when Mo said he thought I was ready for the practical exam, I had full confidence in myself because of the quality of tuition I'd received.Mo and I arranged for a single 2-hour refresher session the week of my exam, just to make sure nothing had been lost in the time between the intensive course and my exam date (because I booked my test myself outside of 5Day, this gap was around 2 months, rather than the 2 weeks or so it would have been had I booked through 5Day).5Day customer service were very responsive whenever I needed them before and during the course, but it was really the excellent instruction provided by Mo that led me to provide a 5 star review. I started the course with around 20 hours of private lessons from many years ago, and by the end of the week, Mo had me feeling ready and confident for the practical exam. I am very grateful to him for his work with me and would highly recommend him as a driving instructor to anybody.

Had a really great experience with these guys. John was very patient with me as I was quite nervous and it took a few more lessons for me to get there! I would highly recommend this course (and John) to anyone learning. I would also like to highlight the fact that John gave me a lesson before my test on a day he doesn’t usually work, to work around me and to help me get there. 10/10 would recommend, went above and beyond. Thank you!

I passed my test first time using the 5Day Bristol Branch. A big thank you to my instructor Paul Hayward who really built up my confidence and was always on hand for advice and support…. and not to mention a great laugh! Couldn’t recommend enough, if you want to pass quickly and get driving to a high standard, 5Day is the place to go!
