Helpful, friendly people. Had many a great game of lawn bowls and golf here. Great way to spend a whole afternoon and very reasonable price.

Since Heath and Nell's have taken over managing the pitch and putt it has been improving each year. This year the course is at its very best, they both work tirelessly to keep it maintained to the highest of standards. They also offer various packages to combine a game of bowls or a flat weekly fee, whatever they offer great value for money. Its a great way to spend a couple of hours in beautiful surroundings.

During my stadies in english I had the plasir to take tennis lessons by Heath. He is one of the best tennis teachter I 've ever had. I learnt for exemple how to play a top spin backhand. For the future he gave me some helpfull tipps to remember.

Spent a lovely afternoon playing golf and bowls. The pitch and putt course is in superb condition and has the best greens I've ever seen.

Quite enthusiastic to enter this area, thinking I might have a go at a couple of the facilities, but sadly that enthusiam quickly turned to disbelief. This area was in very poor shape. Lack of maintenance, dangerous pathways, very poorly kept bowls lawn in total contrast to the adjoining Torquay Bowls Club which I have also posted, showing it is possible to care for the grass and provide a nice green which as you will see is really green. The golf course looks like the rough. No idea how one plays a ball through grass rather than on it. Pathways are lined with weeds and in general the place looks neglected. Very surprised to encouter this part of Torquay in such a poor state. From the road and from photographs one would think this is a marvellous place with a marvellous view. It has a marvellous view for sure; the sea and tropical palms present a beautiful and colourful vista. Marvellous place it is not, at Abbey Park Golf, Tennis & Bowls Centre run by Torbay Council. It's a mystery to me how Torbay thinks it would possibly cater for people accustomed to high standards. Aren't we all entitled to high standards? Apparently not. Torbay Council is not maintaining Torbay properly or even adequately. Just up the road I see an electronic road sign that has broken down, meaning motorists can't see what the road route numbers are that they can take. Its all very poor performance from the Council. Interestingly they expect disabled badge holders pay for parking. That is not on. Especially not in this cost of living crisis. A very large proportion of Blue Badge holders have very limited fixed incomes. Torbay shows no generosity or even mere consideration to this cohort. When I was last on the seafront there were beautiful coloured lights with a lovely bow arrangement strung along the whole front all the way round the bay to Paignton. I see that these have been replaced with a single string of lights. Nothing beautiful or nice apart from its a cable with coloured lamps on it. No beautiful bows. This is, perhaps, how our amenities become ruined by local authorities, like Torbay, indicative that have no clue what they're there for, or what they're supposed to be doing to improve the experience for everyone. In Torbay, its a bit like a business being run into the ground.

A great way to spend an hour or so with my sons (aged 8 and 12). As mentioned by one other reviewer, the guy who runs it does have a severe case of grumpiness, but it's still a fun course.

No one to ask when we arrived- looks old and needs some money spent on it.Old chap was grumpy and snappy - not attracting new people that’s for sure.Needs some cash spent on it- will use the crazy golf instead next time for same price.

Good fun pitch and put ideal for locals and tourists. Owners are easy going and welcoming although one of the workers is a bit of a grumpy chap. Very enjoyable experience with some lovely views of the Abbey and sea front.
