It would have been nice if the event was bigger but a nice afternoon spent at The Wings And Wheels Event. Great to see all the planes taking off at the end of the afternoon.

Great friendly day out at the Wings and Wheels event

This is a great place to visit if you're at all interested in aircraft and aviation history. The three hours we spent there vanished in a flash. With small planes ranging from old, open-cockpit, wire-rigged bi-planes to modern two-seaters, with an amazing collection in between. The guys there are so enthusiastic and full of the stories behind the aircraft: pilot exploits, where they've been stored, when they were discovered, how they were restored. If you're lucky, you might get to see some of them flying. I thoroughly recommend a visit.

For anyone with an interest in aircraft this place is an absolute gem. Last week with a couple of friends we had a terrific few hours on a conducted tour. The first thing you will realise is the absolute dedication and enthusiasm that goes into the looking after the collection of beautiful vintage aircraft. It was also interesting to see those aircraft and engines in the process of being returned to an airworthy condition along with the stories of how they were found. Away from the aircraft and just as entertaining is the ‘headquarters’ with a wonderful collection of memorabilia and even more stories to be told including the history of the airfield. In the summer they hold an airshow with lots of visiting aircraft and entertainment plus, I’m told, a highly recommended barbecue.So, thank you once again. I’m looking forward to the summer.

Warag event military vehicles and agricultural equipment event. Excellent event with great music missed the big band as there was so much going on caught Blitz time Sally Saturday great entertainment and Elvis had everyone bouncing good entertainer. Sunday had a great singer who I didn't catch his name in a light suit but also very good with Sally on again. Last singer not as great and singing out of era songs for a 40s style event Wartime vehicles and later of all shapes, sizes and nationality. Loads is great displays from war time arp, American marines,Germans, home guard, American paratroopers etc. Great show and one to be put on the must do list for next year.

Good day out, plenty to see, can get close up to planes too.
