The Restoration Hutt

I am so pleased with the restoration that Edward has done on an antique writing desk which I inherited with much damage. Years of sun exposure and humidity had left the wood warped, the internal mechanisms didn't work and there was significant cosmetic damage to the finish.From start to finish, everything was explained in detail but without complicated jargon; and a full assessment of damage and the result that could reasonably be expected to be achieved was clearly laid out. The work was completed to the highest possible standard, but preserved the natural wear which gave the piece its appeal. Everything now works perfectly and I appreciated the additional time that he took in guiding me through how best to operate the mechanisms for the first few months when the desk was returned to meI would recommend Edward unreservedly, his knowledge of antiques is second to none and the results speak for themselves

Did an amazing job on my coffee table with rattan effect shelf. Restored and repaired it perfectly. Would recommend him every time

We had two wobbly dining room chairs and now we have two good as new chairs. Absolutely delighted . Highly recommend.
