Wilsons Carpets, Hull

Our in store experience was great as usual with Arnie and Kelly.,However when our 3 carpets which are all the same were delivered with a flaw in all 3.We are awaiting to hear from the manufacturer as to what happens next, as due to lack of space we had to have them fitted.The fitters Kurt and Lee were amazing.

I bought fake grass in store and asked it to be delivered for following Wednesday as thats when our landscapers would be ready to fit it for us. We was assured it would be delivered for then and that specific date was even noted on the invoice. Waited 6 hours for it only to be told it wasn't coming as it had been left behind at the warehouse and was assured it would be the first delivery made the following morning by way of an apology. Next morning came and same thing happened; I waited hours for it, was told several times on the phone that they didn't know when it would be coming as the driver wasn't answering his phone. We eventually got the drivers number and he told us he didn't even have our order with him! He had an attitude over the phone which my partner did not appreciate. Called the store again and they made out as though they didn't know it was there despite me calling about it several times through out the morning. Appalling communication and laughable customer service. My landscapers have wasted nearly 2 days work over this which I still have to pay for but they at least have the decency to offer to pick up the grass in store for me to save me being lied to by the store/delivery drivers any further. Shopping else where in future as this isn't the first time we've been unhappy with the company. Last year the fitters who did our stair carpet left all the rubbish in the road blocking my neighbours garage. Disgraceful.

Really disappointed with Wilson's. I've bought most my carpets from here and the staff in store are lovely. However come on guys sort out your fitters they're giving you a bad reputation. I paid for extra underlay before fitting as I decided we did need new. The guys came in, slashed all my freshly painted brand new skirting, cut my carpet short in some places too. Now one carpet has popped off the door bar and as I went to tuck it under I noticed I have the wrong underlay. They had installed cheaper underlay than what I ordered and paid for. My husband is calling the store tomorrow but tbh I'm getting pretty sick of this now. We've called the fitters back in twice and I am sick to my back teeth of having to repaint and repair damage to my skirting boards. I expect a bit of damage but I'm pretty sure these guys are wreckless as I have slashes and even cracks to my skirting.

Excellent service every time we go to buy carpet. Andy always advises on quality of carpet and price, he also shows different quality carpet for abit less in price .we end up buying carpet from Wilson every time after looking around other places due to the good service we get from all the staff.

Recently purchased a bed from here and couldn't fault the customer service. All the staff were lovely, friendly and knowledgeable. Kelly went above and beyond to ensure our order ran smoothly. Would highly recommend.

I have shopped at Wilson's Carpets many times. The quality of carpet choice is extremely good. This company gives fabulous friendly service and carpeting fitting. Just had a bedroom carpet fitted today by Barry, absolutely superb, he is a perfectionist. He fitted another bedroom carpet in April 1st class workmanship. Guess I highly recommend this Company.

I visited the Hull store recently to look at options for a new bedroom carpet. The friendly staff were very knowledgeable and I was given a really good price, fitting was also super quick. Will be back for more in the future.

Had two fitter to do fit carpets to living room, hallway and stairs... WOW what a top class job, the lads were informative and most importantly very, very professional in thier trade. I believe their names are Kev and Lee top work fellas.

We called to have a look at artificial grass. We received some helpful advice on the density and length of grass from a female assistant. We decided to look at the roll ends and found a perfect roll, but unfortunately, it was a little too long for our needs. You would have thought that asking for a strip to be cut off the roll end wasn't too much to ask, wouldn't you? How wrong I was dismissed with a point blank no by another sales assistant. So, unfortunately, they have lost out on a sale not only today but at any point in the future. No sense of customer service, and I certainly wouldn't recommend any of my family or friends to shop with.The response given by Wilson Carpets is absolute rubbish. We stood next to staff who were cutting carpets and vinyl while we were choosing the grass. Just goes to show that they do not have any will to assist customers. Just take your money. They are not getting any of mine!!!! And the prices dont reflect the basic customer service received money grabbing bar stewards.

Damien has been wonderful with us - from support to carpet choice , pricing and overall advice has been a great customer experience. Every one of their staff was polite, friendly and professional. I strongly recommend them
