After reading reviews commenting about rudeness I was apprehensive about going to Connie's. However, she was so sweet and lovely, I honestly have no idea what these other reviews are talking about her being rude.Anyway, I took 2 pairs of trousers to be shortened, both made from difficult materials and she did it in a week to a very professional standard. Exactly what I wanted and you would never know that I hadn't bought them like that!

Connie recently repaired the zip on a suit dress for me. She did an excellent job, I highly recommend her. Her prices are very good, and she did the work much faster than the timescale quoted to me by other alteration and repair companies I had contacted. She was also a really lovely lady.

I would pass Connie's shop every day, and see a lady bent over her work, so focused on what she was doing. I didn't think I'd be able to afford to get alterations done there. Anyway, I can do them myself (so I thought). Then I got a dog, and he needed his new coat altered. No expense spared, I asked Connie if she would do it. She fitted my wee dog for his coat! I nearly dropped when she told me the price. Affordable? Absolutely. I'm never sewing again. Her work is flawless.I've got a coat of my own with her now, and she'll text me when it's ready. I highly recommend Connie's. She's quick, high quality work, and affordable.

I've always used Connie for alterations (hems, seams) and repairs (zip for lined winter coat). Her work is consistently excellent and ready to collect on the stated date. She will say if she can't do something but she's not being offensive, just stating a fact. She often makes me laugh when I go into her shop!

Connie is great, really reasonable price and quality work. I tried to take down some hems on trousers myself. Why bother, too stressful / appears I dont have the sewing gene, and Connie is so good! I am chucking out my little sewing bag. Thank you Connie :-) (also - see you tomorrow with 5 more pairs of trousers that need making longer !) . she also sewed on my sons cubs and karate badges. life saver.xx

Ripped the seat of my trousers (leaping down into a sort of yoga-frog-pose) while trying to hide from the dog. Popped into Connies for a repair. She said she had some black thread on the Singer ready to go, so she fixed me up an invisible mend there and then, while I popped across the road to A Coombs to collect some Country Hunter for the hound. Excellent work! And all for only £3! Wonderful stuff! Highly recommend.
